Zombo got 2,5,7,8,9,10 and the bonus

plus on #3....if Rich Jackson is a former Brown who made the PB with the Broncos then he got that as well. That is not a name I had, but I will have to check it out.

Bob got #2 and #10...and part of 3.

FYI, though I only asked for 2 HOFers for #10, there are actually 3. The third name is not yet mentioned.

Interim report: You all made fairly short order of this one. Only a few questions have as yet not been answered. Here they are:

      1. What is the Browns/Broncos regular season record?

      6. What is the unique factor about the statue of the horse on Mile High Stadium. Hint: it has to do with who that statue depicts

      10. Besides Elway, Floyd Little, and Shannon Sharpe there is one other long time Bronco that is in the HOF.

      That's it.

I can think of three guys that played for the broncos that are in the hall. but none of them were primarily Broncos.

Willie Brown who went on to greater success as a member of the Raiders.

Gary Zimmerman, whose best years were probably earlier with the Vikings, but had several pro bowl seasons in Denver at the end of his career (He's probably who you are thinking of.

And, of course, Tony Dorsett, who spent one crappy year there after a marvelous career in Dallas.

Those would all be correct. The HOF website actually distinguishes between a "Primary" HOFer for a team and a "Secondary" HOFer.

They have Elway, Sharpe, Little, and Zimmerman as "primary Broncos", and Brown and Dorsett as secondary. Not sure what criteria they use other than to say that if a player has only a cup of coffee with a team, they get listed as secondary.

Examples: Doug Atkins, Willie Davis, Len Dawson, Henry Jordan, and Tommy McDonald all appear on the Browns roster of "secondary" Hall of Famers, because they each had a cup of coffee here.

"Primary" Browns players that are secondary with other teams include Frank Gatski with the Lions, Len Ford with the Packers, and Marion Motley with the Steelers.

Now you all just have to figure out what the deal is with the horse.

            1. 18-5 regular season vs. the Browns.

            6. "Bucky Bronco" was made from the mold that made Roy Rogers statues of his horse "Trigger". But Rogers would not let them use the name "Trigger" so the fans voted and they got "Bucky Bronco"

If you knew these answers why didn't give them in your first post?

                5. What was the most distinctive feature of the Broncos uniforms from their initial two years of existance?

                7. What distinctive factor do the Broncos hold re their AFL years of 1960-1969?

                8. What would the AFC West lineup look like today if we listed the teams as they would have been listed in 1960?

                9. What distinction do former Browns players Gene Mingo and Marlin Briscoe hold?

                10. Besides John Elway, name at least 2 other Broncos that are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

                11. Who holds the Broncos record for most passing yards in a season?

                12. What former Browns player was the Broncos Head Coach circa 1964-1966?

Bonus. Which of the following teams have the Broncos met up with the most in postseason play:

                Bills

Here is this week's trivia on the Browns next opponent:

                FINAL ANSWERS:

                1. What is the all time head to head regular season record Browns vs. Broncos?

Browns are only 5-18 vs. Broncos. This is the worst record the Browns have against any team.

                2. What is the all time head to head postseason record Browns vs. Broncos?

Browns are 0-3 vs. Broncos. We will not discuss any of these other than to repeat this fact: Karlis missed.

                3. Name at least 3 players who at one time played for the Browns that made the Pro Bowl as members of the Denver Broncos.

I have Lyle Alzado, Michael Dean Perry, and Tony Jones. (I did not look up Rich Jackson)

                4. What former Browns player was the Broncos leading rusher in 2008?

                Peyton Hillis

                5. What was the most distinctive feature of the Broncos uniforms from their initial two years of existance?

They wore mustard yellow and brown uniform with verticle striped socks. They would have made those bumblebee steelers uniforms look good.

                6. The Broncos have a statue of a horse standing in their stadium. What is the unique/distinctive factor about that statue?

The statue is, as mentioned made from the same mold of Trigger, Roy Roger's horse. As I understand it, there are only just the two: this one and the one at the Roy Rogers museum.

                7. What distinctive factor do the Broncos hold re their AFL years of 1960-1969?

They never had a winning season...they never made the playoffs for that entire decade.

So let's not talk about how the altitude in Denver gives that team an advantage. They have just had a lot of good teams there. If they had shitty teams, like in the 60s, their altitude would do them not one damn bit of good.

                8. What would the AFC West lineup look like today if we listed the teams as they would have been listed in 1960?

Denver Broncos, Dallas Texans nka Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers nka San Diego Chargers, and Oakland Raiders.

But note...the Raiders did move back and forth from LA for a while. The Broncos are the only team in the AFC West that did not move or change names at some point in history.

                9. What distinction do former Browns players Gene Mingo and Marlin Briscoe hold?

They are the first black kicker and the first black QB in pro football since like the 20s...before the NFL became segreated in the 30s (thank you George Preston Marshall). Yes, there WERE black QBs in the 20s...including Fritz Pollard.

                10. Besides John Elway, name at least 2 other Broncos that are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Floyd Little, Shannon Sharpe, Gary Zimmerman would have been acceptable. Even Tony Dorsett and Willie Brown.

                11. Who holds the Broncos record for most passing yards in a season?

                Jay Cutler 4586 yards.

                12. What former Browns player was the Broncos Head Coach circa 1964-1966?

                Mac Speedie

Bonus. Which of the following teams have the Broncos met up with the most in postseason play:

                Bills

                Browns

                Colts

                Dolphins

                Jags

                Jets

                Oilers/Titans

                Raiders

                Ravens

                Patriots

                Steelers

Broncos have played the Bills, Dolphins, Jets and Ravens only once in postseason. They played the Colts, Raiders, and Jags twice. They have played the Browns, Patriots and Oilers/Titans 3 times. But they have played the Steelers 7 times in postseason play. The Steelers is the answer. The Broncos have won 4 of those matchups, the Steelers 3.

Rich "Tombstone" Jackson was a bad ass All Pro DE for the Broncos in late 60s / early 70s whose great career was cut short by injury and had a cup of coffee with the Browns at the end.

If you want to look up and ask your own questions, please feel free to. I would probably do my best to try to answer them.

But THIS trivia game that I have been running for 10 years on here is supposed to be an honor system fun quiz to show what you know about the subject. By looking up the answers you take out all the fun for others that may want to participate and you display a lack of honor and you show that you actually know nothing.
