Harrison says that he thinks "a life-threatening injury is to go low on a guy and blow out his ACL or whatever, and he's not able to come back the way he was before. Now he can't make a living, he can't feed his family, he can't do what he does." and then says that in order to avoid staying away from fines he's "lowered [his] target area to where it's down around the knees,"

You guys are missing the point he's trying to make. He's saying that regardless, people get hurt in football, and Goodell is cashing in on all of it. James Harrison is a lot smarter than you think, not that you'll ever believe a "big fucking gorilla." Yes, its good to try and prevent concussions, but at the same time, going for the knees will end a career as well. Goodell has taken $100,000 from Harrison's pockets so far. Yes, some of his hits are uncalled for, but Goodell is cashing in on unintentional helmet to helmet hits, and its really not fair to the players. If you've ever read anything about James Harrison, he doesn't like Goodell's policies, and I don't blame him. Also, whats up with the subtle racism on this board? Only in a few people do I notice it, but its really not cool. Don't take shots at someone's race, when you're not out there playing

Actually, all the fine money goes to charity....and those who are fined get the tax deduction.
So, I am all for Goodell hitting these guys up for fines that go to charity. Better than them blowing it on whatever they blow things on....cars, bling, bad investments.
