If The Playoffs Started Today After Week 16
-
Here is the current situation with the playoff races:
AFC:
East: Patriots 11-4 clinched division, currently hold #3 seed
North: Ravens 10-5 clinched division, currently hold #4 seed
South: Texans 12-3 clinched division, currently hold #1 seed (by virtue of win over Broncos)
West: Broncos 12-3 clinched division, currently hold #2 seed
Wildcards: Colts have clinched #5 spot, Bengals have clinched #6 spot
The only questions remaining in the AFC is seeding. The Texans can clinch their #1 seed and a bye by beating the Colts on Sunday. (FYI, the Colts beating the Texans will NOT improve their seed at all). However, if the Colts beat the Texans, who do seem to be reeling, then the #1 spot would go to the Broncos and the #2 spot to the Patriots, provided they each win their remaining games. I believe the Ravens are locked into the #4 spot. (though I guess it is possible that if the Pats lose and the Ravens win that the Ravens could jump to #3)
NFC:
East: Redskins 9-6 Have NOT clinched division. Would hold #4 seed. Winner of Cowboys/Redskins will win this division.
North: Packers 11-4 clinched division, currently hold #2 seed
South: Falcons 13-3 have clinched division and have clinched #1 overall seed in NFC
West: 49ers 10-5-1 have clinched playoff spot, but not division, would currently hold #3 seed
Wildcards: Seahawks 10-5, have clinched at least a WC...could win NFC West with a win and 49er loss to AZ. Minnesota at 9-6 currently holds last playoff spot.
In the hunt: Cowboys 8-7, Bears 9-6, Giants 8-7
Cowboys can get in simply by beating Redskins. Bears can get in with a win and Vikings lost to the Packers. Giants are a complete longshot.

T#10,11,12,13: Jets, Chargers, Bucs, Panthers each at 6-9
T#14,15,16: Dolphins, Steelers, Saints each at 7-8

With the Browns currently slotted to pick between #6-9, here is who CBSsports.com has listed as the #6-9 prospects for the upcoming draft:
#6 Chance Warmack OG Alabama
#7 Bjoern Werner DE Florida St.
#8 Damontre Moore DE Texas A&M
#9 Johnathan Hankins DT Ohio St.
Note: they have as #s 3,4,5: Jarvis Jones LB Georgia, Dee Milliner CB Alabama, Manti Teo LB Notre Dame
At #10 they have QB Geno Smith WVa, at #12 they have Barkevious Mingo OLB LSU
For the Browns to move up above #6 they would have to lose to the Steelers and have some or all of the Lions/Raiders/Eagles win their last game.
