    Totally Agree, What a shit-hole!! The Eagles should tell him to go to hell!! I hope he fails miserably! It seems he's a cheater as well.

  • One thing I believe Haslam and Banner got right is not hiring him if he was not 100% committed. So he may turn out to be a good coach who knows, but if he was that indecisive then I wouldn't want him either.

  • +1 in the boat for being happy we didn't sign the dude. It appears Haslam and Banner were dead on about him not being committed to anything. It's not like I blame the guy for making the jump, but in two weeks going from likely taking an NFL gig, to staying at Oregon, to going to the NFL doesn't strike confidence in me. He has the seeds to be a good coach but I'd much rather have a 110% Chud than him after what he's done.

    I don't care about the Browns not getting him....I never really wanted him, but for him to announce he was staying at Oregon and then to take the Eagles job is just fishy.

    Now I suppose Nick Saban is going to be announced as the new coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars. It would fit his pattern. Maybe Kelly just wants to be a baby Nick.

    It's sounding as if the sanctions against Oregon were a little more severe than Kelly had anticipated. Even if there's no postseason ban and its a limit on scholarships, that's enough to take Oregon out of contention for the next 4 years

    31 other teams missed out on those players as well. Outside of Russell Wilson, the rest were top 5 picks, so you'd expect them to do well.

    This post clarifies you are unable to look at any players without bias. AP isn't that much better than Trent right now, AP almost broke the NFL record for rushing yards and Trent didn't break 1000 yards. I love Trent and I'm happy we got him, but please take off the Trent blinders and look at it from an outside perspective for once. I hope that you actually know who Russel Wilson is and that was a terrible attempt at sarcasm.

  • Sorry for the rant, but to go back to the actual topic, Kelly obviously is just getting out of dodge before the sanctions come. I believe he was afraid to stay at Oregon to deal with that. He truly doesn't want to be an NFL coach in my opinion. At least we got the guy who definitely wants to be here.

  • i don't know how much credit i would give to haslam and banner. chip kelly turned them down, not the other way around. chip kelly was their number one guy and everyone on here knew it. they didn't walk away from the meeting saying "we didn't want chip kelly because he was indecisive." if they did i'd like to see the quote. the fact is kelly dissed us. plain and simple. he sees more of his type of players on the eagles than the browns.

    Chip is a fat college coach who recruits really fast players with fancy uniforms and then wins with a gimmicky offense that won't work in the NFL and can't make up his mind about where he wants to be and what he want to tell people.
