Mike Lombardi Hired

[ClevelandFanForLife]

VP of player personel.

[Cielo]

Who's the the President of Player Personnel?

[b86b]

can't wait to see how shitty these next drafts are...what a bad hire

[nickers]

This is the hire that ensure we will continue to be 4-12 until he's fired...Im very upset by this. Hiring this incompetant tool just ensures final demise of the Cleveland Browns.

[BadNewsBrowns]

The Cleveland media makes me sick with their campaign to vilify Banner & Lombardi.

10 playoff teams,7 division titles,5 conference championship appearances,2 Superbowls on Lombardi's resume.

Give it a chance.

[Hunt Daddy]

Jarmarcus Russell is also on that resume.

[BadNewsBrowns]

Any team would have drafted Jamarcus Russel if they had the opportunity.

[Westside Steve]

I worry about a bean counter being in charge of a football team with banner.

But I guess I don't know enough about Lombardi to understand why everyone hates him so badly.

Is it just the Bernie Kosar animosity from years gone by or something more?

WSS

[Soju]

Worst move of the new regime. Absolutely awful.

[dapz]

What a joke. I am not thrilled about this hire at all.

Chud yes

Norv yes

Maybe try to get lovie as DC

I wanted to keep Heckert.. But replacing him with Lombardi is a slap in the face

[b86b]

one positive from this hiring

The demise already occurred (Isn't "final demise" redundant?) I'm hoping for no further delays in resurrection.

Yea right. We'll win enough games to miss out or Lombardi will fuck it up and take some back up from Sam Houston State.

[Nuckin Futz]

FUCK!! Say it ain't so!

[Erie Dawg]

yeah idk his past drafts were pure shit!

Hopefully this guy is a glorified cap specialist and is nowhere near our war room come draft day.

[darubes]

Awful.Haslem and Banner kick Browns fans in the gut.

[BadNewsBrowns]

I don't think Lombardi is going to have final say on draft picks, but who knows.

First move Browns make now will be getting Brian Hoyer or trading for Ryan Mallet.

[calfoxwc]

Let's face it, ti doesn't really matter who Haslam and Banner hire to

be a janitor, personal file maintainer......

The last thing the Browns needed to do, was bring in some old baggage.

blech. And Lombardi was bad with working with the cap.

He'll be more of a secretary to Banner.
