The Browns Board

  • Really ?, this guy is excited to move back to Cleveland and you're going to slam him. Assbasket, that's BS, to each their own. Happy for you if you're headed to where you want to be and for all who like where they are. Tell you one thing though, I can only imagine how cool the Browns games are pre, during and post game time. Have been a fan since early 70's and only been to one game in the old stadium Had a blast and people were fantastic. Love the team, most loyal fans in the NFL (pretty much have to be to put up with the BS), support anyone who roots for the Browns .. well almost anyone.

    All the best Cambrigdeho !

Wow, that all escalated very fast!

Anyway, thank you very much. I will actually be getting stationed in Lorain, USCG. As OSU and fan of Cleveland all around, I have suffered down here in Bama and LA for 7 years. I just cant wait to get to the games. I have paid to much for direct tv every year for the Sunday ticket, so being there will be so damn worth it.

Are you going to be home for good or is it just another stop?

Either way its gotta feel good step back onto the yankee soil.

  • I will be back for about 3 years. Then I will have 6 years left until I can retire at 39. Then move back to the house we bought in Alabama, reason being shit is just cheaper down here. My house is in Dothan and I live in a 1900sq house on .25 acres and my taxes run about 315 a year. I have yet to find a cheaper place to live. However I am happy to be back up north, I am ready to hunt the deer and catch the walleye!

My brother is retired USAF. I envy the flexibility his pension provides him. I got out of the Army after coming home from 'Nam & have always (other than the moving around) regretted not staying for 20 years. That pension combined with a nice job (maybe Gov't) will allow you to travel & possibly make a game or few a year.

Good that you're "home" for awhile & just in time to see a REAL Owner & resurgence of the Browns.

    Welcome back!

    Mike

  • 😉 Cambridge...

315 a YEAR? Ours are about 4 times that...for a half. Sounds like a great place to retire.

    dammit.

Good luck with the Walleye...bout six years ago maybe, we had our bayliner cabin cruiser up at the islands area, docked

at Port Clinton, and even the experts we watched with binoculars couldn't catch a thing.

and the lake gets rough in beautiful weather. Very weird.

Sold the old boat. It was fun though.

I've never regretted not staying in. Just wasn't interested. I could have been in OSI, that would have been cool maybe,

but I was proud to go in, and proud to get back out. SAC had too many people in it that wouldn't be able to do well in civilian life.....

and I am just too contrary to take orders for more than my four years.......😉

  • i'd rather be on the north coast baby.

a mile to the shore. get on a boat go chill on an island or go to one of the best amusement parks in the states. turn around and 2 miles to the countryside. fresh water over salt water. mosquitoes over flying roaches. and not have to deal day to day being a minority in your own country. i think people that don't enjoy the change in seasons are crazy. i'm not a beach person (i know plenty that are) and i always say go get 'em melanoma.

might as well call florida cuba2.

by the way if you wanna catch walleye you have to anchor off the west side of sandusky bay where there is a freshwater stream that the current feeds from the north. you can sit on the back side of margaritaville , cast and pull one up within 5 mins.

and the further away from cleveland (or any big city) you can find gems in realty. we're currently looking at places like bellevue and even port clinton. 70's -110k 2 story 3 bd 2 bath acre of land. 2 car garage with finished office upstairs....minutes from the water.

    that's where i'm going.

Yea Hurricane Sandy sucked, me and 2 chicks stuck in my house for 2 days drunk.

Uhm, Sandy only hit tangentially there. With global warming and hurricanes getting ever stronger you are likely to get hit with a hurricane where you won't have a house left.

And those two drunk chicks will end up categorized as something else: Floaters.

Isn't that enough? Scott Fletcher, who was George W. Bush's favorite ballplayer came from Wadsworth. So was the wife of John D. Rockefeller. And Andy Sonnanstine, pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays, and Drew Pearson...songwriter for Katy Perry. And Astronaut Michael Foreman, who commanded flights of both The Endeavor, and The Atlantis Space Shuttles.

But, I am originally from Norton, not Wadsworth. Famous people from Norton include Frank Seiberling, founder of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.

And...oh yea...Sandra Hubby, March 2004 Playmate of the Month: see above.

And here is the thing: If you think a place is a shithole, it is not because the place is a shithole, it is because you are a miserable, narrow minded person. I might leave here someday because I am getting to the point where I don't want to walk around on ice nor have to shovel snow...but that doesn't mean whereever I end up will be any better, just different.

And where you live isn't any better, just different.

I have been to the Outer Banks, and they are fine....but no better than 1000 other places I have been in this country. Just different.

Different is 100% correct Gip. The differences is why this place is better dude. Maybe my stint back in Cleveland got me jaded, the warming up my car, shoveling the driveway, someone breaking in my house assaulting me, drug dealers on the corner, traffic jams, shit jobs, people thinking their problems are worse than everyone else's and so on. I am proud to be from Cleveland, I am just not going to live there again unless I have to. Gip I am NOT miserable as you suggest, I am the happiest I've ever been, it's a good life bro.

Cleveland's got some good shit, decent fishing, major sports teams, the metro parks, did I miss anything?

I love my Browns like my family. Does't mean you have to live in the city to do that.

That's cool you been here man, but until the tourists leave you really have no clue what you are missing. Come down on April before the season, we can take the boat out and fish.

    Bullshit dude.

Maybe my stint back in Cleveland got me jaded,

Maybe your time in NC got you stupid.

Maybe you are not miserable, but you sound bitter and resentful.

Do you not think that people cannot break into your house where you are? Or there aren't shit jobs where you are. Tell me, do those restaurants in that town use busboys?

Cleveland's got some good shit, decent fishing, major sports teams, the metro parks, did I miss anything?

I hate to fish. What else have you got to offer besides sand in my crotch?

Here is my point: you can say that where you live is better for you...but to claim that where I live o where others around here is shit...is merely a bad reflection on you.

I understand getting out of the cold and not liking living in a crime ridden neighborhood...buy your blanket assertion that Cleveland is shit is just shit.

You can like where you are without disrespecting the choice of life of others. Ya follow?

  • Gip, I am stating MY opinion on why Cleveland sucks and why I don't want to live there. Not on why it's bad for YOU live there. If you like it, more power to you. Don't take it personal dude. I can see why you would be upset if I never lived there and never seen the city take a nose dive into a pile of shit (like some Steeler fags on the board), but I lived there half my life (among other places in the US and abroad). You know the whole opinion and asshole statement, everyones got one.

I've already stated the reasons I think living here is better, just take a look above. No traffic, almost zero crime (the only murder in the last 5 years down here was that Summerfield dude from Ashland, lol, meanwhile, someone got murdered in Cleveland while I am writing this post), the people, food, fishing (I never liked to fish till I moved here, I think it is the river on fire/three eyed fish stigma there, although they have done a hell of a job cleaning Lake Erie up), hang gliding in my back yard, no snow, crabbing (in the fall and spring I have caught pounds of crab and oysters 2 minute walk from my house), surfing, body boarding and so on.

If I sound bitter on Cleveland, I probably am, and you know what, I'm allowed to be, I'm from that shit hole.

  • I will be back for about 3 years. Then I will have 6 years left until I can retire at 39. Then move back to the house we bought in Alabama, reason being shit is just cheaper down here. i think every episode of 'the first 48' was filmed in charlotte/mecklenberg last year.

who's fault is it that you couldn't afford to live outside of a crack ridden neighborhood while in 'cleveland'? yeah, yours. what you couldn't move 10 miles south to medina? how about west to avon lake?

what a douche. i'd rather talk to the biggest bum in ohio any day over a fuggin southern hip haw jaw slackin rock kickin sittin on the beach all day bugs in your hair looking into the sun motherfucker.

yeah you had it bad. you gotta be sooo proud of yourself to pack up and run as soon as the shit hit the fan.

way to stand tall brother. want you in my foxhole.

I'm sorry you said you where from Cleveland?

    Only 383 miles away.

  • gotta side with kosar on this one. i lived in Virginia Beach back in the 80's and travelling acrosss the Great Dismal Swamp to the banks

on weekends left me with memories I'll never forget. If you like being around the water< I think you would be hard pressed

to find a better place to live than the Outer Banks. Great fishing, wind surfing, beaches and boating in a non commercialized setting

make it hard to beat. The natives are cool and laid back, unlike the assholes encountered more often on Va's and MD.s eastern shore as

you head north of the tidewater.

well between you and slowburn they can now add 2 queers tot he population of the outer banks. i'm sure those people really want a pschizoid acid freak and a bona fide pedophile moving into their community.

stay south. that's where you both like hangin out anyways (if you know what i mean), just gotta wonder what happens when the knees give away.

and no asswipe i ididn't grow up in cleveland. grew up 60 miles away in sandusky. have been up and down all all around this country and many others. besides wurzburg germany ohio kicks ass.

i know it had to be tough getting out there with your acne and afro meeting people . ok we know you had no night life since you were probably delivering pizza while everyone else was out and having a great time.

let me know how you like waking up with a flying cockroach sleeping next to ya. or maybe your boyfriend takes care of them for ya. alittle slap on the butt in the morning?

yeah and my mileage to cleveland.....561 mile. so i am still LONGER than you.
