Dion Jordon is the guy that I hope the Browns get at 6.

I probably didn't list him because it is projected he will be gone by the Browns turn. (like he was in our official Mock Draft)

Yeah the top ten of this draft is harder to predict compared to last year where everyone knew the first two picks were Luck and RG3. I have looked at a lot of mocks and people are predicting a number of scenarios. We might get lucky and have it go something like Joekel, Geno Smith, Floyd, Eric Fisher/Star Lotulelei, Star/Milliner leaving us Jordan. I am pretty interested in seeing how this plays out. My roommate and I (both native Clevelanders and big Browns fans) want to go to Radio City for the draft, but you have to wait an ungodly amount of time to get tickets from what I have read online.

  • I like boren. Changed bucs defense when he transitioned. a fullback plus a decent piece for special teams

  • On the official browns page they have indicated a Number of fullbacks and have brought in a few for a better look . We can probably surmise that the Browns are interested in up grading the fullback position .

Zack boren would be nice he's nothing special except he is a pure fullback .

Star Lotulelei was the first player to catch my eye early in the year .

Now that QB has been settled Gino Smith can be passed on that relieves me .

Im kind of partial to Wisconsin O line men Travis Frederick C/OG but he falls into a slot witch we would have to trade of move up or down to get him .

My thoughts with C/OG is Mack has never been able to pull vary well His size has increased and Id like to see him move around somewhat. just for Power and knowledge of the game . We see this on other teams with veterans and maybe they can work some plays into the line witch takes advantage of Mack's talents.Plus a quality back up Center / OG Like Fredrick can never hurt your team .

Boren tackles way to good to be a "pure" fullback. He didnt even play fullback his senior year really. He was a Fuckingbeast against michigan. They lose that game with out Him. Fullback yes but way more potental playing multiple positions.i.e. special teama mainly.

  • I'd say we should take Dee Milliner 1st round, Tyrann Mathieu 3rd round, Baccari Rambo 4th round... that gives us a good secondary but leaves us thin at linebacker. Anyone worth a couple picks in the 5th a LB?

I am not sure the Browns necessarily consider themselves thin at LB at this point. They still have the following on the roster:

    Acho

    Carder

    Fort

    Groves

    DQ Jackson

    JMJ

    Kruger

    Moten

    Robertson

    plus Unrestricted FA Fujita

Not counting Fujita that is 9 on the roster. If they keep 2 deep in a 3-4 scheme they would need only 8 on a 53 man roster.

So, they are not thin on numbers, but are they thin on talent?

I do expect them to go for at least one in the draft, and to bring in a couple of street FAs from the rookie class.

But, the question is, would you be willing to go into the season with just the above on the Browns roster at the MLB and OLB positions?

(One problem is that the official roster does not differentiate between OLB and ILBs)

Sheard probably isn't listed as OLB, but that's where he's playing this year, so add him to that list too.

A starting four oof (probably) Sheard-JMJ-Jackson-Kruger seems pretty solid, behind a front three of Rubin-Taylor-Winn. You just have to wonder with the backups - I'm not 100% sure on the positions, but if we had an injury to Jackson and had to rely on JMJ and Robertson for the season, we might come unstuck. There's talent perhaps but not a lot of experience between Robertson, Fort, JMJ, Acho & Carder.

The official roster did not, yet, have him listed as a linebacker.

Backups for the front line with Bryant/Hughes/Kitchen/Sanford seems solid too.

Also, don't forget Groves at LB.

If they went for a Jarvis Jones/Jordan/Ansah/Mingo in the draft it would not bother me, but right now, to me, the priority seems to be the defensive backfield with potentially two major holes there. There are certainly enough bodies on the roster at DB:

    Bademosi

    Barnes

    Gipson

    Haden

    Hagg

    Prince Miller

    Chris Owens

    Kent Richardson

    Skrine

    Wade

    Ward

(plus Brown and Ventrone are technically still on Browns roster)

but the quality of everyone of these except Haden and Ward as a starting NFL defensive back comes into question, fair to say?

If we do end up picking Milner I don't think there's a snowballs chance in hell that they go after honey badger in the 3rd. Can get a much better value pick at that point. If he's still around in the 5th I could possibly see that. I do like the idea of getting Milner and Rambo with the 1st two picks though, it would solidify the D backfield for sure.

    Is Rambo considered a FS?

    i agree 1000%.

    nice call POG.

  • I'd be surprised if Rambo slipped to the 4th. Hell what would'nt surprise me is if he ended up getting picked up somewhere in the 2nd.
