Browns To Win Conference Next Year?
-
I think the majority of NFL analysts will be picking the Bengals to win the AFC North this year. The Bengals have had the least turnover, they have been on an upswing the past two years and alot of commentators loved their draft. Their will be a fair number of analysts voting for the Ravens, because they just won the Super Bowl. I think the division could be won by anyone of the four teams and the Browns biggest question mark is QB. If Weeden steps up and performs well, the Browns coudl very well be division champs this year. (It's possible that Pittsburgh could be a contender because of Ben Roethlisberger, it's just not very probable. At some point Ben will probably get injured and there is no QB on their depth chart that really stands out as a savior. Further, the Steelers defense shouldn't finish anywhere near the top 10, unless LeBeau pulls a small army of rabbits out of his hat).

Well, LeBeau IS capable of doing that. And BR is capable...but I don't know if much of the rest of that team is. But, I agree, the Bengals should be looked on as the favorite for the division next year. Both Ravens and Steelers lose a lot of leadership, if nothing else.

bleacher report is shit
-
Still not sold on Dalton, I'd take Flacco over Roethlisberger. We'll see if Baltimore adjusts to life after Lewis and Reed... Bolden should be a key loss as well.
Can only hope the Browns are competitive in the division, was great last year still being alive for the playoffs in week 15 or whenever we were mathematically eliminated.
-
Bengals are going to have that double TE set and Green, they are going to be pretty tough.
-
bengals and browns battle it out and bengals win, just cuz they've been there in the last decade.
but wait until 2014 MFers!!!!!
HA!

Ha
Haha
Hahahahahahaha

Yeah... No.

Most of bleacherreport is shit. There's very few, and I mean very few, people that would qualify as legitimate sources that write for bleacherreport.
It really only requires that you mostly have a grasp on the English language and punctuation and that you can read ESPN articles.
Every once in a while, there's some solid information and I give it credit, but for the most part it's nothing but conjecture and hypotheticals, just like you'd find on any forum and with the same amount of inside information.
-
We were 1-1 against Cinci last year, one game with no Haden. We've gotten better, and so have they.
This will be a very interesting season, not only for the AFC north but the whole league.

Was your masters degree in "having inside sources in the NFL"? Was it in "analysis of scheming, scouting and playcalling on the NFL level"? Was it in "being Adam Schefter"?@mike-h said:
So you need to have inside sources to have educated opinions and knowledge of sports? Or be a writer?
I guess my master's degree and two years of writing experience are just a creation of my imagination.
Anybody can have an opinion on something and write about it. It doesnt mean a mosquito pussy fart. That's what forums are for. Having information or knowledge that others don't and releasing it is what makes you a sports journalist.

Tony Grossi and Mary Kay Cabot disagree.

Okay. I guess the radio station I was on for the draft -- who told me I gave excellent analysis -- knows nothing.
You're right though, keep being bitter/wrong/dumb/etc. Your takes on everything are borderline Retarded.
Forgive me. I didn't realize being on a local radio station and having the $10.00/hr radio jock commend your regurgitation of Mike Mayock articles qualifies as being a legitimate sports reporter.
If "borderline Retarded" means "correct" (which, in the Browns case, it does), then yes...I'm borderline Retarded.
I hate being right about stuff, it's a curse. Maybe one day you'll be blessed with it. Until then, keep copying and pasting the things we all say into bleacherreport articles. E.M Rogers would be proud.

I've read the most crazy shit on bleacher report, I'll not be jumping off the cliff by stating the obvious that the site is shit.

I wasn't trying to take it as gospel and bet the house on it - just saying it's nice to see some positivity from somewhere! I do think we'll surprise a lot of people, but 10-6 is a bit of a stretch. I'd be happy with 8-8, or probably even 7-9, as long as there's progress. Hopefully we won't be picking in the top 10 next year.

all kidding aside i really do feel like with just hte coaching staff alone we've raised our points up +2 or 3.
i think the steelers are old and the ravens can't compensate for their losses on defense,
bengals brown this year baby. i go them 1 and 1. but vs, the rest of the division the browns are 5 -6.
say what? say what?

I think the ravens made some decent moves in the draft, so they won't feel the losses as much as we might have hoped. I reckon probably Steelers in the basement this year, and then it really could be any of the other three. Can see a three way tie, with Browns Bengals and Ravens going 4-2.

according to at least one reporter, yes.
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1621957-winloss-predictions-for-every-nfl-team-post-nfl-draft
Browns - 10-6
Bengals - 9-7
Ravens - 8-8
Steelers - 8-8
49ers come out on top apparently, going 14-2, but the bills are drafting at number one in 2014 at 2-14. Obviously, all pure speculation, but good to see someone viewing Cleveland in a positive light at least.

This is quite funny! Browns started out behind the other teams in their division and have fallen further behind them with this pathetic draft and a mediocre free agency.

Don't expect the Ravens to make the playoffs--Flacco goes down in flames trying to justify his big new contract.
Like him or not, Ray-Ray was the heart and soul.
Pittsburgh--is Pittsburgh. Every year people come on here and say the Steelers are old and done and every
year we get bitch slapped. If Ben goes down it's over.
Cinci--don't really give a fuck.
I have to believe that having a competent coaching staff is worth 2 more wins.
With Chud and Norv in his ear, Weeden has to be better--doesn't he? Huh? Please!?!
