Btw, I Got One Draft Pick Right. Gilkey. But In The 4Th Round...@@

Both Gilkey and Cave will start at OG at some point this year.. and although they won't be All-Pro, at least running plays won't begin with 2 of the 5 OL falling down and sucking their thumbs when the ball is snapped.

And you forget Faulk, who is better than both of them. What excites me about the Browns draft and pos-draft???!!! The signing of Gilkey, Cave and Faulk. All three should add some fine depth and allow the Browns to finally get rid of that horrible tackle O. Cousins.

You guys are putting way too much faith in 7th round and undrafted rookies. There's a reason they fell: Injury, Work Ethic, IQ, Not as good as we thought...
Would I love for either of them to come in and win a starting OG spot? Sure. I'm just not going to put too much stock into it when we have veterans in here that have done a solid, but not great job. We got a 3rd? and a 5th? rounder battling in Pinkston and Lauvoa, and not to mention Greco, who looked the best of the three last year.

What's refreshing is the fact that even Shurmur and co. knew the oline had to be upgraded to competitive for
the offense to work, for starters anyway.
If a couple of them turn out to be solid additions for depth, or even starting... the Browns are looking a whole lot
better on offense right there.

Don't doubt late-round guards ::
The Saints All-Pro guards were drafted in the 5th and 6th rounds;
Boothe for the Gints was drafted in the 6th, went to my alma mater, and was the 3rd best OG on the market this year
Pats start Connolly who was a UDFA.. and had the #1 rush offense.
Yes, our 7th/UDFA guards might suck.. but good guards don't only come from the top of the draft, it's not like OT.

Honestly I wouldn't be all that surprised if pinkston was done for good, (if not done as a pro, done as a brown) although he was getting better towards the end of his only season he wasn't all that good. Greco on the other hand did one hell of a job last year and IMO will be the guy to beat at LG. I see him as the starting LG this year and then a free for all competition for the RG spot.
