My mom is a Rep I'm pretty sure. My dad has no affiliation.

I also have no affiliation. I'm more moderate than anything else. Just 90% of the population would be liberal to you guys. I don't see the point of blindly backing a party on every issue.

So if I broke out all the stats that place the red states at the bottom of most measures of the 50 states, with Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, etc., always coming in at the bottom in things like income and test scores and out of wedlock births, would that mean something about Republicans? Last time I checked they all have Republican governors, and their legislatures are all dominated by Republicans, and they vote overwhelmingly Republican in national elections.

If we're going to argue like idiots, shouldn't that "argument" work for you too?

And I should have typed that out since it was my prediction. you and woody would find states with Republican governors. I'd probably zero in a little more on the worst parts of those states, probably the urban areas, and find Democrats in charge at the local levels. at least in most of them.

but at any rate these blighted sections don't seem to be getting much bang for their voting buck with the Democrat Party.
