    And then you woke up.

While I dont need to defend Ghoolie...Ghoolie gets My respect...he's a true dinosaur in the recording industry..session jobs dont come easy anymore...I sure as hell cant find any here because all the hip hoppers do now is cut n paste...these kids today have 0 talent when it comes to performing on a musical instrument...the need for session players for recording sessions has become a lost art...I myself. I play Guitar,Drums,Bass and piano/keyboards. I cant afford to hire other musicians..so I have to doit all Myself. And the best part there is...no ones late..but Ill give Ghoolie his due as a working musician. Guys like him,Mike Landau and Steve Lukather are a rare breed. Brent Mason is another..I tip My hat off to those guys..if you have any work you cant handle..send it My way..LOL

steve lukather plays guitar like it was attached to his ambilical chord at birth.

but now you're putting him in a class (and we all know that TOTO was formed from the best studio musicians at the time on the west coast) of studio musicians that did shit outside of the studio.

call me when you start talking about walter becker and donald fagan whose chord progressions none of them could keep up with.

looking at their sheet music is like looking at a rat's wet fart splattered across bars.

Walter Brecker is a sound guitarist but puhleeze..he's no where near on the guitar stratosphere techically, playing soulful melodies and influencing a whole generation of guitarists like Myself, than Steve Lukather...Let Me clue you in on something...Quincy Jones and the Jackson Family Estate owes that man and (the late)Jeff Porcaro millions for the album thriller. They basically did the whole thing themselves. Luke wrote and performed most of the instruments except some guest appearances by Michael Bodicker. (keyboards) Eddie Van Halen (guitar solo on beat it)the rest was all Luke, and Porcaro did all the drums...And believe Me I know what Im talking about because Jeff Porcaro did sessions with Steely Dan...Steve is every bit versed in chord progressions as Brecker..hell they all learned from Larry Carlton ya dumbass..who happens to be one of Lukes best friends(duh). Steve Lukather played and recorded on just about every hit song back in the 80's..do the research genius..He's a fucking legend..Walter Brecker is a nice foot note..and believe Me when I tell you I love Brecker and Fagen...bet you didnt know Donalfd Fagen was from Chagrin Falls... Dont ever challenge My musical knowledge you dweeb..Ive been doing this stuff since I was 6 years old...end rant.

  • For what my opinion is worth, it looks like the Browns and Bengals are on your way up while the folks over at Condiment Colosseum and the Ratbirds are on their way down. The Steelers are getting old all over the place - QB, WR, RB, TE, and defense. They'll have one or two more good seasons before they need a complete overhaul. The Baltimorons lost half their team, and Flacco doesn't really have anyone to throw to. Their defense is going to struggle for at least next year, probably the next few years after that.

The Bengals are the Bengals, not going to address them here or now.

As for you guys, the reports coming from Cleveland are all positive. Weeden is getting more comfortable. T Rich is looking good. Your defense is solid. I really only see an issue on your team at receiver. You're young, but you don't really have a true number one. Little has the chance to break out this year, as does Gordon. If all that happens, you could push for a wild card this season.

    My predictions:

    AFC

    Broncos

    Texans

    Ravens

    Patriots

    Colts

either the Browns or the Bengals

    NFC

    Redskins

    49ers

    Packers

    Falcons

    Saints

    Seahawks

I swear some of you guys don't actually think through what you type out in these little boxes before you hit post. The Steelers are "older" at QB but he's still not "OLD" by NFL QB standards. Issac Redman is the oldest running back on the roster at 28 years old. Antonio Brown and Sanders are both entering the primes of their careers and there are pretty high hopes for Wheaton our recently drafted rookie. Burress and Cotchery are old but neither are being tasked to start. Heath Miller is getting a little long in the tooth but he's not the only tight end on the roster. Defensively we have some older starters, but year after year players are being drafted to replace the guys you all continue to key on. Who knows how some of those players will pan out but for the love of all things football please stop talking about age, especially with teams that ROUTINELY build through the draft and not free agency.

EDIT: and let's not forget the Browns drafted a 29 year old rookie QB. Oh and you're on a Browns board kissing a bunch of ass.

LOL Go Browns, but your right EVERYONE on here says every year that the Steelers are old, I dont think that I just dont think they are not that good, but then again I have been wrong every year about the Steelers so what do I know. What I do know is the Browns have not won more than 6 games is like 30 years so how about you show me something first

28 is old for a running back.

Ben might only be 31, but he's been sacked 344 times in 9 seasons. That's just under 40 times per season. He might be young(ish), but he can't last at that rate.

Brown and Sanders are young, but neither are true number ones. You're going to need to find one sooner or later.

If you think saying "you might contend for a wild card" is kissing ass, you've got a couple more issues that you need to deal with. Nevermind that you're on a Browns board taking offense at something I said.

I'm not taking offense, just simply stating the facts. Redman also won't be the starter despite being penciled in as such right now. They drafted Bell in the 2nd round to be the starter. We also drafted a replacement QB in Landry Jones and I don't believe Brown or Sanders have been given the chance to prove they're number ones. Brown was dealing with injuries last season but the season before he was the first receiver to have 1000 yards receiving and 1000 yards returning. He was also paid accordingly so obviously the Steelers think he's a 1 and I'm not sure you want to argue with their track record to pay guys worth keeping around.

You REALLY need to take some of your own advice.....because every single thing out of your mouth comes fully with Seeler bias, and with no thought at all. Kerrigan is a Redskin fan...so you cannot accuse him of being pro Browns.

The Steelers are "older" at QB but he's still not "OLD" by NFL QB standards. Issac Redman is the oldest running back on the roster at 28 years old.

OK, he is not old. He is also not good.

Antonio Brown and Sanders are both entering the primes of their careers and there are pretty high hopes for Wheaton our recently drafted rookie.

Everybody has high hope for every rookie that is drafted. That makes 32 teams with high hope for 350 some players.

Burress and Cotchery are old but neither are being tasked to start. Heath Miller is getting a little long in the tooth but he's not the only tight end on the roster.

Even he isn't that old, but has injury issues. So, its not his age that is the question mark there.

Defensively we have some older starters, but year after year players are being drafted to replace the guys you all continue to key on. Again, just Dusty Springfield, a wishin' and a hopin' that the rookies you get will be as good as the players you lost. That has worked out as long as LeBeau has been tutoring them.

EDIT: and let's not forget the Browns drafted a 29 year old rookie QB.

And by your own statement, , that is not old for an NFL QB.

Oh and you're on a Browns board kissing a bunch of ass.

Harrison was a Dick LeBeau special. Only he got out of him what could be gotten. Without being in the Steeler system (and hopefull without the HGH that he probably loaded up on, he will revert to a below average LB...an old below average LB)

OK, the Chiefs are a stretch....though, they WERE in the playoffs the previous year, I believe, and they DID have 6 Pro Bowl players off that defense. And they certainly improved in the area of HC and QB where they replaced Romeo Crennell and Matt Cassell/Brady Quinn with Andy Reid and Alex Smith.

And the AFC West is a weak division. (and the one strong team there keeps getting weaker with the roid loss of Von Miller and the injury to their center and FWIW I think Peyton Manning may suffer a serious injury...and who takes over then?)

I don't think the Steelers are "getting old." I think they're just not very good. I also think their coach is not very good. Ben and Heath have been struggling staying healthy. The O-line is not impressive. RBs are all ?'s. A.Brown is a good WR, not a true #1 IMHO. The D is still solid, but Polumalu can't stay on the field. Picking up J.Jones makes me sick b/c he dropped way to far, he'll help. CBs are weak. D-Line lost it's NT and has struggled to stay healthy.

Ben can make plays... that's a given. But, how long is he going to last? The D, especially LBs, can make plays, b/c LaBeau is the best DC in the business. 8-8 last year, and very little offseason improvements... Split the series with the Browns, and we didn't have Weeden or Richardson in the loss. Don't see how expecting anything better than .500 is realistic...

  • Once Ben and Lebeau retire..(one or the other)...stick a fork in'em...thier days of gloom are just in front of them...every team takes falling down...and pittsburgh will be no different..I dont give a damn whose comming in behind whom...unless they suddenly happen on a few boxes of roids..and we know thats happened before...Piss on 'em

Hilarious. Tomlin isn't a good Coach now? Is that why the head coach of the Orlando Magic of all teams and the GM are at training camp to shadow Tomlin right now to see how he interacts with his players? Tomlin has proven to be a very good Coach and the Rooney's apparently felt the same when they gave him the job. I also think a majority of you are being completely delusional when discussing the Steelers. They had a "bad year" last season and went 8-8 and Heath Miller has been jogging/running for the last month.

You then make a comment about the offensive line. How exactly do YOU know if the line is very good or not? They haven't had the opportunity to gel as a unit and they're all very young. If things gel they could quickly become one of the best lines in the league. It's 2nd round, undrafted, 1st, 1st, 2nd round from left to right. Clearly the front office has invested and this year is the year they get that return. As far as tailback is concerned I'm not at all worried about it. Bell will win the starting job and carry the load. He was the best blocking HB in the draft as well and could step in as one of the best blocking backs in the league out of the gate. He's a mass of a man with nimble feet and great hands. I also guess we'll find out about the corners but they let Keenan Lewis walk for a reason. Cortez Allen.

Casey Hampton is also gone for a reason and that reason is Steve McClendon. Why don't a majority of you just be honest and say you don't have ANY xxxxing clue how the Steelers are going to be this year but it makes you feel a little better about the Browns when you assume they won't be very good. Sanders and Brown being healthy already helps the offense. Sanders isn't Wallace fast but his combine numbers outside of the 40 were substantially better than Mike Wallace. You also might want to read up a little on Marcus Wheaton.

Oh and I find it amusing that you mention not having Weeden or Richardson when you lost but guess who the Steelers didn't have when we lost. Hmmmm Roethlisberger. You'd have gotten your ass waxed if Ben was in that game. You won by what a touchdown? It may have been less (6 points) and we turned the damn ball over 8 times. Give it a rest.

Okay homer... shut up and listen... I'm not saying Mike Tomlin isn't a good coach "now." I'm saying he was never a good coach. He won a Super Bowl with Bill Cowher's team, Dick Labeau's defense, Big Ben's toughness, and (just like every other team that wins the SB) luck...

Also, I know who Wheaton is, I know who McLendon is, I know who Cortez Allen is. I know where your offensive line was drafted... I follow college football and the draft pretty well... My response, is the same as above. 8-8 team. Sure you had a "bad year." Couldn't be b/c you have a "bad team," right?

But I know, your rookie WR and RB are going to save the team. Guys are just going to step up and replace pro bowlers without a hitch, at what... 3 positions (Wallace, Hampton, Harrison). Losing guys like Lewis and Colon doesn't hurt one bit either...

Man, can't wait to watch the Orlando Magic this year after shadowing the "Great Mike Tomlin." That doesn't even sound right...

So? Because you think they had a "bad" year last year, you don't think they can do as badly, or worse? They can, They can

You then make a comment about the offensive line. How exactly do YOU know if the line is very good or not? They haven't had the opportunity to gel as a unit and they're all very young. If things gel they could quickly become one of the best lines in the league.

If they gel, they could be average. As it stands, they have the worst line in the division.

I agree, none of really do. Including YOU.

but it makes you feel a little better about the Browns when you assume they won't be very good. Sanders and Brown being healthy already helps the offense.

Any player that isn't hurt helps. That is nonsensical.

Sanders isn't Wallace fast but his combine numbers outside of the 40 were substantially better than Mike Wallace. You also might want to read up a little on Marcus Wheaton.

He was considered at best the 9th best WR prospect in this last draft.

Your QB would not have helped your RBs who are the ones that fumble so much.

  • yeah tomlin got lucky and fell into the lap of a good all around team with sound veteran leadership and quality players at key positions.

put him on the browns that same year and he'd make shumur look good.
