No Longer Feeling Good About Our Oline

Gilkey was good in the first half, and had one bad drive in the third quarter with a false start and a whiffed block. Told you that he would be the next man up. Unfortunately, I have no idea who our backups are now.

Three plus weeks to get everyone healthy, let's not freak out.
Weeden looks comfortable and our starters are outpaying the other teams starters ... this is a good thing.

Was at the game, & got the locker room injury report. Not good, but we were overdue for an injury or two
Lewis- busted fibula- that's 6 weeks, minimum.
Pinkston- seen leaving stadium on crutches in a walking boot- not good.
Mingo- was wondering why I didn't see him in other than on kickoff coverage- in hospital overnight- bruised lung.
Bogatay is likely bye-bye with a pulled groin.
If it's any consolation, Gilkey stepped up and played quite well- a road grader. Definitely a keeper.

Original OG Depth Chart looked like this:
LOG: Greco, Pinkston, Gilkey
ROG: Lauvao, Aaron Adams, Caylin Hauptman
Its pretty clear that it would be Gilkey to move into the ROG spot.
Also, OC depth chart looks like this:
OC: Mack/Jarrod Shaw/Braxston Cave Could Shaw or Cave backup at OG? That happens a lot.
---------------
Original RB Depth Chart:
Richardson/Hardesty/Lewis/Jackson/Maysonet
They have Ogbanaya as #1 FB....but he could move into the RB spot, and let the likes of Marecic/Smelley do FB duties. Or, more likely, Ogby could switch. And, FYI, since when did they pass a rule that a FB could not run the Ball. I mean, Jim Brown was considered a Fullback, as were Cookie Gilchrist, Jim Taylor, John Brockington, Jim Otis, Pete Johnson, Mike Alstott. All outstanding runners from that position.
I wouldn't put it past Norv/Chud to revitalize the FB as a running position a bit.

Pinkston out 2-4 weeks, not as bad as I had imagined. Mid Preseason is good for injuries to get over and gone. We were due for at least a couple injuries, I was surprised we had gotten through training camp relatively healthy.
O line can be fine if Gilkey and Shaw step up -

Looks like everybody who got hurt last night will be back for the opener except Dion Lewis... nice
They're looking at possibly placing Lewis on Long-term IR meaning a return after Week 8... unless his injury is season-ending... we need a replacement either way...

Jarrod Shaw is a pretty solid young player. He was going to make the roster even before the injuries as backup center/guard. He can step in and play when needed.

Gilkey has looked the best of the interior backups with Hauptmann behind him.
Both Shaw and Cave have looked pretty bad the first two weeks.
