I cant remember the last time i have seen a browns qb call an audible. i might be mistaken though. that might help the running game.

Pretty sure the quick pass to Gordon against the Rams was a read when he saw that the corner was playing off.

maybe so, but it just seems that every other team calls an audible every other play. like when detroit was obviously blitzing weeden didnt audible just ran the play and rb got killed.

them showing obvious blitz doesn't mean they'll always blitz. perhaps he was rolling the dice due to whatever reason.
i agree he could audible more though. and agree itt hasnt been a Browns QB trait for a very long time.

As far back as the cowboys. there is/was no system for the QB to call audibles in Norv's system...the QB ran whatever play was called...now Maybe Chud will have some impact there I dont know...

Makes no sense to me to build a system with sight adjustments and option routes, and not allow pre-snap audibles. Even Troy seems to agree:

Yeah,Id like there to be some pre snap adjustments made Myself...but In one way..I understand Norv's penchant for wanting to keep mistakes to a minimum...

im just glad to see i am not the only one that has noticed this. if norv doesnt have audibles then neither has palmer, davis , robiskie, crennel, mangini, nor shurmur
