Browns - Bengals Game
-
To each his own. Personally I along with 99.9 percent of nfl viewers would take Jones over Gordan straight up. And I was speaking from the Bengals point of view, we wouldn't have use for someone like Taylor.No. Gordon alone is as good as Jones.....from the talent standpoint. His risks have nothing to do with his talent...but with his off the field issues.
Why is the Browns defense very stout now? Because of the anchor in the middle, ie. Phil Taylor. He may be as good at what he does as is Gordon or Jones at what they do. He just doesn't get the publicity because of the position.
And, again, Weeden. We just don't know.

Our talent is young and unproven compared to a old coaching staff that is still hunting and talent that is almost play off caliber. We have 2 young unproven QBs that have shown some flashes of potential. OC that is very good. DC as well. And a unpredictable HC. Cincy fans should be very worried and smoke tons of crack this week. I'm sippin orange pop by the pool!

Gip, defending Wheezy hurts your credibility.
AJ is a damn good receiver to be sure.. as is Julio... but neither is in Calvin's class. He stands alone at the top right now.
Gordon's talent is conparable to Green and Jones, but not yet proven.
Gordon's off-field concerns are legit, but with Green there are on-filed concerns. Kid is not built for longevity in the pro game. Julio is built better. But Gordon's physicality really stands out... unless Calvin is brought into the mix again.

"Spoke with a scout friend this morning who said Josh Gordon had "Terrell Owens potential" if he had stayed clean & played with improved RG3"
"In his second year, Gordon can be a superstar in this offense if he can avoid drifting off the straight and narrow. His two-game suspension at the start of the season for testing positive for, he said, codeine, will either be a wake-up call or the beginning of the end for him. Gordons physical skills are elite and he is only 22 years old."
"Josh Gordon has the talent to be a top 5 WR in the NFL, he has the ability to dominate the entire league. But I know there's there been plenty of players with similar physical gifts who have squandered them at the hand of poor decisions."
What's the source of those quotes, you? Lol. Plus you know he's not gonna change right? He'll get busted for pot or codeine again and be gone for a year. He's no T.O that's for damn sure.

He said he didn't know about Weeden. Nothing implies that he thinks Weeden is great or even mediocre. And Julio built better than Green?! Julio is injured every other game.
-
Don't know. But with Josh Gordon's history of delinquency he's a good a candidate as any for it.
It don't happen. Now go puff your crack pipe.

Little may not be the best but he has shown some flashes. Double Gordon and Bess and Little could surprise some folks. hope, hope!

First off, it's *you're.Why because he is black? Your a racist.
Secondly, no not because he's black. I'm black and I don't smoke or drink lean. It's because he's been busted for both of those substances multiple times. You don't just stop doing either of those once you're as deep into it as he is. He's gonna get caught again.

Here's why it isn't clear-cut to me:
1. Both teams have been brutal against the run. Wash it away.
Fair
2. Hoyer V. Dalton? Does anybody really know yet? Is there anything Dalton can do Hoyer can't? Would it be all that stunning if they both played well... or not? Do we think one is truly one of the greats and the other just complete garbage? Nah. Anything could happen here. Hoyer gets more reps, gets more comfortable, and plays at home... he could have a great game.
Dalton made the pro bowl his rookie year and has made the playoffs both years of his career. Hoyer is a career backup. This isn't even a discussion. Dalton>>>>>Hoyer or Weeden
3. I think the Browns have the most gifted left tackle and pass rusher on the field. And we have more pass rushers. After the quarterback himself, rattling the quarterback is next most important.
Geno Atkins is the best pass rushing DT since Warren Sapp. Johnson and Dunlap are both better than any the Browns have. I'll give you Joe Thomas. He's a stud.
4. Yes, any GM would take A.J. over Josh. But if you watched both games, do you doubt that either is a fairly magnificent talent? Or that both teams feature a wide receiver who can beat just about anybody? Let's see as the season goes on if it seems silly to compare them.
It is incredibly silly to compare them. AJ is a once in a generation talent along with megatron. Gordon is average.

And that's why you are an idiot.
Nobody is in the same league as Megatron. And I played against Green in high school, watched him in college...he's not Megatron good.
He's a top 10 WR. Probably top 5 in most polls. But Fitzgerald and Megatron are leagues ahead of Green at this point in his career.

AJ is very rarely injured. He is incredibly flexible and takes hits very well. Durability is a non issue. And to say Julio is more durable is laughable given all of his injuries.Gip, defending Wheezy hurts your credibility.

Fitzgerald?? That's a stretch. Megatron is better right now absolutely. But once he starts to fall off and Green peaks, it'll be AJs league. And that's why you are an idiot.

Who cares what viewers think. What would coaches and GMs think. Again, the question over Gordon is just whether or not he can keep clean, not if he has the talent.
And no, you can not use a talent like Taylor. Taylor actually stuffs the run. You prefer guys that give up 200 yards a game to bad running teams. You couldn't use a guy that was instrumental in holding Adrian Peterson to 88 yards on 25 carries, and whose longest gain was only 9 yards.

Hoyer to Gordon sure got a lot of attention on espn this week as well as in Cleveland. Simms gushing about Hoyer and Carter about Gordon. Plus others as well and it was all good. I noticed because that has been unheard of around here for some time. If any of it comes true or not.....we will all just have to watch see and second guess after. But the ride there looks to be a lot of fun now. We have new owners that care and a new management that reputation aside has a fresh start. Go Browns...thrash dem kitty kats!!

re; Little. Browns need to short leash his "the traffic laws don't apply to me" silly ass. he continues to make mental errors on the field. hard to say what he could do if he had a bit more self discipline..

Did not say Julio was more durable.. said he was built better than Green.
Which "rarely injured" knee was it that kept AJ out of the entire preseason?

No coach or GM of a successful team would take him over Julio and you know that. And you really love to ignore that the focus was on stopping Rodgers which the defense did better than almost anybody, don't ya?Who cares what viewers think. What would coaches and GMs think.
