Some Browns stats so far
-
Through 4 games here is how the Browns stack up:
Offensive numbers:
They are 29th in points scored with 64. (i.e. only 3 teams have scored fewer
They are 12th in passing yards...991
They are 25th in rushing...304 yds.
They are 9th in Punt return yards
They are 8th in Kick return yards
They are 19th in the total number of offensive drives (FYI, Buffalo is #1 here
Defensive stats:
They are 9th best in fewest points allowed
They are 11th in fewest pass yards allowed
They are 6th best in fewest rush yards allowed
They are 19th in kick return yards allowed.
Note: some of these numbers could change after tonights game between NO and MIA.
Jordan Cameron is #5 in receptions, #10 in yards, and tied for #2 in TD catches (5)
Des Bryant is tied for 9th in sacks
Because Hoyer and Gordon have only played 2 games each they are not currently amongst the leaders in any particular category
(even in Passer Rating Hoyer is 22d., and 20th in QBR.

Don't like this going into Thursday (Buffalo side) :
They are 19th in the total number of offensive drives (FYI, Buffalo is #1 here
I thought I saw somewhere that we were ranked #6 overall defensively, but maybe it just Rushing D - I'll have to look when I get time.

Maybe they are #6 overall. I guess I didn't list that stat. I broke it out into passing and rushing and points.
Let us know what you find.

NFL I'm sure had us higher in some areas - 3rd in overall YPG allowed, 4th in rushing YPG allowed, 9th in passing.

It was in something I read on a game preview I think.
This is the closest current thing I could find:
Defensive Ranks (USA Today) :
#6 Total Yards Allowed
#3 Yards Allowed per game
#11 Passing Yards Allowed
#7 Rushing Yards Allowed
#8 Points Allowed
#4 Sacks
#8 Tackles
My guess is the article was referring to the first item - Total Yards Allowed.
Some more digging and this looks to be changed from the above (these from ESPN) :
#4 Total Yards Allowed
#3 Yards Allowed per game
#10 Passing Yards Allowed
#6 Rushing Yards Allowed
#8 Points Allowed (tied)
#3 Sacks
#10 Tackles
#10 Passes Defended (tied)
#5 INT (tied)
Whatever the Overall Defensive rating of this Team is, those are some pretty good Stats.
Probably the best we've seen Defensively in a long time.
-
2nd in passing yards per attempt.
1st in rushing yards per attempt.
I'll take that.

Some of those probably changed after last night's Miami/NO game...especially after Drew Brees lit up Miami's heretofore high ranked defense.

Defense has been really, really good. DBs had their best game by far on Sunday, look to be "gelling." Gipson seemed to be everywhere, even though he botched coverage a couple times on Eifert. 3 PDs and that big hit. Skrine had a pick and leads the team with 7 PDs. The "weak links" of the 4 played all 68 downs and held a great offense to a pair of field goals.
Here's an interesting stat when you think about what wins in today's NFL: The undefeated Chiefs have 18 sacks. The winless Giants and Steelers have 8. Combined. And, naturally, the teams with Manning, Brady, and Brees are a combined 12-0 with a combined 109 PR.
Pass the ball, take leads, rush the passer.
The Browns are tied for 3rd in sacks with 14.
