Questions for Bills Fans
-
This has nothing to do with the game per se. My question is: What is the succession plan for the Bills after the 94-95 year old Ralph Wilson passes away? I hear different stories, but nothing seem definitive. The hope of course is that the Bills will stay in Buffalo and not try to go chasing after LA or some such nonsense.
Also, how are you all liking the one game being played in Toronto scheme so far? Do the Bills get a lot of Canadian support out of Toronto/Hamilton? Or do some up there resent that American football style trying to come up here and be carpetbaggers? Toronto has the Argonauts, Hamilton has the Tiger Cats.
Is this one game per year played there plan going to be on going?

The most popular theory is that Jim Kelly and a group of financers would take over the team. This is the most people because Jim Kelly has said multiple times not to worry about the team moving and that he has it covered. "When the day comes when he decides, 'It's time for me to relinquish the ownership,' then I do have people in line that will want to purchase the team and keep it in Western New York because I do not entertain any offers from anybody looking to move the Buffalo Bills from Western New York. I just won't do it." There are rumors that Kelly and his group and Wilson have already met multiple times and the plan is in place.
No guarantees though.
The Toronto game sucks. Just mainly because the Toronto people don't care about it. It takes corporate sponsors buying thousands of tickets just to sell it out. And the crowd atmosphere is nothing like Buffalo.
And the CFL sucks.

The Stadium is roughly 20 Percent Canadians on game day. You have to realize that all suburbs north of Buffalo are in Canada and they have many great football fans. (That being said they do support the Leafs in hockey). So it is really on 15 min from the canadian border to the Ralph. Most Canadian fans are good but the ones from TORONTO suck. Most of them come to party and root for teams that arent even playing (if i see another Torontonian with a Steelers Jersey...UGGG) The Game in Toronto is a corperate joke and real Bills fans wont touch it. Much better to travel 3 hours to Cleveland or Pittsburgh than the 2 to Toront to see a game in that Shopping MAll of a stadium. But if it helps keep interest up in Canada so we dont have to Move its a easy price to pay and frankly it helps keep season ticket prices lower. I almost guarentee there is some sort of sucession plan in place but NO ONE has been made privy to it. RALPH was the only one who fought to keep the Browns in Cleveland and his legacy has been to fight against franchise shifting..dont think he will let it happen to his baby upon his demise.

You may be confusing them with Cincinnatti.
The 3 teams that have been know to have "blackout" trouble are the Bengals, Raiders and Jaguars. I didn't think Buffalo was so bad.
Edit: In checking, the Bills were mentioned by The Street Business report as being one of the 6 teams with the most chance of blackouts....along with the Bengals, Raiders, Jags, Bucs, and Chargers.

Man, where was this last week when the Bengal fans were in here talkin smack?!? The other teams have excuses as they're nice areas to be at the beach or enjoying the weather. You may be confusing them with Cincinnatti.
