Forget the Playoffs...Did You See Our Remaining Schedule?
-
KC is overated. Check out who they have beat so far....a bunch of losers. Victory
The Bears have Cutler and give up tons of points. Victory
Browns handled the bungholes easily. no reason they can't sweep Victory
A win against either NE, GB, Balt or Det is possible Victory
-
Our D can stop any of those teams on that schedule. Only 4 tough defenses to play against in DET, KC, BAL, and CHI which will make it hard to score points. All those games look winnable to me... Not sure if you've been watching lately

Detroit has a shit secondary. Weeden, Cam, and Gordon are going to have a field day.

DET
@gb
@kc
BAL
@cin
PIT
JAX
@ne
CHI
@nyj
@pitShow me how we win more than 4 more games. I see us winning Pit twice, Jax and the Jets. -
What I expect is for them to be competitive in every game....and to come out with their share of wins. Will they win them all? No. Will they lose them all? No. Will they win enough to make the playoffs? Neither you, I , or the man in the moon has a clue.
Let's just mount this horse and see where it takes us.

lol Sounds like an SNL skit to me
LOL... that was Debbie Downer... would make a great Avatart for Soju. Moderators? Lil' help???
That said...
I have to say that the four games Debbie mentioned do look to be the only "sure wins" the rest of the way.
Maybe one of those four goes the other way...
Maybe 2 of the other 7 go our way...
... and we finish at 8-8...
Which would still constitute an improvement.
And given that our division has basically the same schedule...
8-8 might be good enough to win the AFCN... after tie-breakers.
-
our defense is going to keep us in a lot of these games that we'll be underdogs.
it's how good or bad weeden plays as to what our record will be at the end of the year, barring any injury to him, that is.

But they have a DL that will not allow Weeden enough time to find the open receiver. Weeden will lock in on one receiver and force the ball to the covered guy because his brain is to slow to process what the D is showing thus missing a wide open receiver as we seem to see every time he plays. The only reason he had success against the Bills is because they prepared for quick release Hoyer and a rookie head coach did not change up his game plan for the slow footed, slow minded weeden. Detroit will limit him to his usual 95 yards passing that weeden is good for.

The reason I think we could make the playoffs is this.... 8-8 could win our division.

But their front 4 is lethal. Suh, Fairly, Ansah and Jones are going to demolish the tortoise Weeden.

Detroit had 1 sack this week, against the packers, who rushed for 180 yards on them. Suddenly I'm not so scared. Still, Weeden is no Aaron Rodgers. Probably not even as good as Rodgers' left arm.

But did you see the preseason game Weeden had against the Lions first string defense? He turned them into puddytats.
Will he repeat that performance? Only your hairdresser knows for sure.

I see a breakout game for Weeden this week. The team has momentum, and are very confident not only in themselves, but in each other. Weeden has confidence in Gordon, Cameron, and Bess; plus, he had a few nice throws to Little last week so maybe our WR corp is developing some good chemistry. Our O-line has improved their pass protection over the past 2 games and things really look like their coming together. Here's what my gut says today:
My early line: Weeden - 28-45 315 yds, 2 TDs, 1 INT
Early game prediction: Browns 27 - Lions 20
