Has anyone watched tape on him? Seems like he'd be a great utility player / special teamer with the possibility of being servicable at LB.

For some reason, the Bengals' coaching staff was using him at TE yesterday. He's a good DE/OLB prospect, only mediocre as a TE.

Hopefully, he'll get a chance to play DE today. Could be a guy we consider taking in the 2nd Round.

He seems athletic enough to play any position that his size dictates.

they're the bengals. i, for one, expect anything but competence out of that organization. they don't even have a full scouting staff because their owner won't foot the bill for one.

Maybe the Bengals don't want other teams seeing what the guy is capable of

According to Marvin Lewis, Barwin will play DE the rest of the week.

I liked DawgTracker's "hide him from other teams" theory, but JewDago's more conventional "the Bengals are idiots" explanation looks to be more accurate.

it's good to know that, no matter the fact that the bengals even won more games than we did, mike brown will continue to doom their franchise to be the dregs of the NFL. i almost feel bad for their fans. almost.

                  😆

Here's a report on how Barwin fared today:

Wednesday Practice Notes:Moved back to the defensive line after starting the week at tight end. Barwin looked like he was transitioning mid week really struggling to hold the point of attack against the run and consistently getting off blocks in his pass rush. There were some flashes of ability to rush the passer by being able to dip the shoulder and get underneath tackles.
