No, not at all. Not the City. I just hate the obsession of the media with NY teams. You would think the fucking world is coming to an end because the Giants suck and because the Yankees failed to make the playoffs.

You don't see them making the same big fuss about the Buccaneers and the Jags being winless.....and even the winless Steelers aren't getting the same boohoohooing about their situation as the Giants are.

The media acts as if NY "deserves" a winner all the time. Quite the opposite. Let those teams...and their fans....and their national media cheerleaders... taste suckage for a good while.

the giants have been one of the best teams in the league the last decade and had playoff expectations again this season... do you really not see the difference?

I still say their last SB was the luckiest I have seen in sports. Luck their way into the playoffs, lucked their way into the SB, and then lucked their way to a win

Yes, of course I see the difference. They have been good, so? The Pittsburgh Steelers have been good, The biggest difference is that they are New York.

All the better to let them suck on last place for a while.

FYI...During the entire decade of the 70s, neither the Jets nor the Giants made a single playoff appearance. The Steelers/Cowboys/Raiders/Dolphins/Oilers/Rams were the best teams during that period, and the NFL was no worse for wear....in fact, its popularity jumped enourmously.

Actually, no, that could basically apply to the giants or the steelers.

Surpassed perhaps by only the Ravens last year? A team that lost 4 of its last 5 games going into the playoffs.

pretty close one. If Jason Garrett doesn't ice his own kicker and lose to AZ, Giants never even make playoffs
  • At least the Jets are relevant again.

HA! that's hilarious. one good game and they are ready to annoint geno smith the next rg3.

i hear what you're saying gipper and it's true, depending on what media you are talking about. mike and mike in the morning is the most disturbing cuz hawk nose greenBURG loves the jets and if they could have every minute of the show dedicated to them i swear he'd love it.

NY is just a major marketplace. believe me i'd much rather be back in ohio watching dick goddard doing the weather and some local pumpkin pie eating contest coverage than the daily barrage of shit the city brings. it is just droppingly bad.

  • If NYJ beats PIT (http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000260260/article/mike-tomlin-bans-all-games-from-steelers-locker-room)and NE loses in a shootout to NO, then NYJ will be 1st in their division for the first time in a long while.

Rg3 hasn't proved shit. Geno could be better than him. Most overhyped player in the league

I've started to dislike the Redskins for exactly that reason. ESPN is finally starting to give QBs like Luck and Wilson their just due.

I don't think he's overhyped just not going to be able to play long because of his size

I just really don't see how he's that good. So-so passer, mediocre scrambler, even worse now that his knee has been blown out. Not like he's horrible but does he warrent the constant praise that's heaped upon him?
