And there are some great qbs coming in next years draft: Mariota, Bridgewater, Manzeil, we should get one of them.

I don't know if I would call them "great" every year has good QB's coming out. two years ago was a great year and the year before was decent. look at how half of them have looked so far. Luck looks good to me the others are average NFL or slightly above average. They were all touted to be good.

There are no "great qbs coming in next years draft". Prospects maybe, physically blessed, yup, but there is no way of telling which QB will be great in the NFL. Hopefully we make the right choice however we go in the draft, free agency or trade.

We had one chance to win this year and it went down in a horrible slide. I was ready to quit on the browns in this season after game two. Then Hoyer. Now I'm ready to quit on them again. Brandon Weeden might be the single worst and easily most unlikeable quarterback in my life as a browns fan. Really. Fuck Brandon Weeden. We cannot win with him. With him under center the Steelers easily finish above us. Take it to the bank.

It may be weeds major malfunction is having been hit in the dome one too many times by a 85 mph fastball when he played baseball. He looks like a jacker so there may be some gene issues going on also. Dude just doesn't have the ability to quickly process competent thoughts when things get hot and hairy,

I'm afraid you're right. If we don't win one of the next 2, I think the Browns may be looking at a half empty stadium, and my seats may be among them.

i'm actually fine with the steelers finishing above us at this point because my nightmare scenario is them drafting Clowney. Seriously. Please go anywhere but the other 3 AFC North teams.

IMHO, that would be Mike Phipps, but only because we traded Paul Warfield for the right to draft him. I honestly don't know what the answer is now, but this Team does NOT play at an acceptable level behind Weeden.

The more I see of the more visible College QBs, I like McCarron of Alabama. Time will tell.

my prediction before the season wa for the browns to win 9 games. that was with the thought that weeden might actually 'get it'. as in pocket presence and growing knowledge betweeen the ears. well obviously that hasn't happened. SO the thought of us winning now is a joke unless campbell starts and becomes a highlight reel in himself.

now it's all about next year. yeah that sucks but it is the truth. and whoever suggested that hoyer will be back this year has been drinking too much.

Looks like CLE could easily be swept by PIT, BAL and lose to CIN as well. Looks like the best CLE can hope for is that JAC, STL and MIN go on miraculous runs so that they don't draft QBs ahead of them.

Wrong. The Browns play the Jaguars in the Dawg Pound on Dec 1st. I figure Weeden (Campbell?) could beat Henne with his eyes closed.

koala the thing your are forgetting with your fretful estimation of who picks before us for a QB is not on point. you do understand the amount of picks we have as ammunition to move up in the draft?

the real question is should we blow 3 picks to move up 3 slots?

BTW both boyd and bridgewater looked like shit this past week.

Anyway, I don't want CLE to trade up like WAS did. It's too much of a dice roll. There's always Manziel and Carr to fall back on in the late 1st/mid 2nd.

So sick of next year...next year...each year we start thinking those words earlier in the season.... Hoyer gave me the feeling I felt when I watched the Browns when Sipe or Bernie was the QB.

I cant believe there isn't a QB on someones team that isn't better the Weeden that we can get....
