Hell no man, he's washed up. Why mess with the team chemistry and younger guys getting valuable experience.

And is it just me, or can Buster Skrine play some fucking football. He is looking like he can be a hell of a CB

He has the talent, he just wasn't even a CB for most or all of college (was track athlete) so he had to learn most of his skills in NFL. We are now starting to see the fruits of his labor.

If Skrine continues to play at the level he is playing at then we won't need to worry about drafting a CB this year. We can use it to fill other spots.

really? i think the FO might look to add some depth or even upgrade the #2 CB position.

hey, i'm no skrine hater. if he continues to play at the level he's been playing at...great. i think the leahue as a whole has been changing (as shep says) to a pass oriented scheme, and the most prominent defenders are now going to be ex-wide receivers. the guys that have the height and weight as a AJ Green or a JUlio Jones and can defend them mano vs. mano without tripping all over themselves. look at the seahawks DBs. i consider them the best in the biz.

to the post: it's just said to see a guy who gets paid give up on the game like he has. what a fucking bum.

Skrine is arguably the MVP of the Browns so far, unless you could somehow name Jason Hoyer or something (!). He's had an amazing year. Nobody nowhere is dreaming of sitting him down anytime in the next, oh, seven years.

We're set at corner. We have one of the best pass defenses in football (#1 in lowest YPA). It's not a problem area at all.

We do seem to have a third down problem that cuts against a whole lot of positive stats (we lead the league in fewest yards given up per play, kind of the bottom line). Doesn't seem to mesh with being 2nd in sacks.

Does that speak to corners who aren't Haden and Skrine? Maybe. I'm pretty sure we'll look to upgrade behind those two, maybe someone with size, push Skrine inside sometimes. But he's playing every single down now at a Pro Bowl level. No shit.

We've been picked on by taller receivers, I would expect us to look to sign a taller DB.

Not only has Skrine be very good in coverage this year he also has no problem laying the wood. I might say he hits harder than DQ soft serve.

He's decent - but nowhere near better than [or even as good as] any of the CB's we already have. He lost his #3 CB spot to a rookie in SF when he injured his knee earlier this year.

He lost his roster spot to, of all people, Eric Wright.. yes, that Eric Wright.

                          No Way.

Let's not forget we drafted Leon McFadden in the third round. Not that he is healthy and has his feet wet, he will be taking over Chris Owens job as #3 corner..

we are set at corner, other than the fact they we are going to have to pay Haden and Skrine. I certainly hope we do.

then why are we giving up these knit-picking 3 and 7's?

so if it's not our dbs or safeties, then who are the people that are blowing these coverage packages?

the LBs? or not being able to get to the QB fast enough?
