Yea, sure....because they are a public HS, and can't compete with the talent that is recruited by the big parochial schools.

    Idjit.

    that's some funny shit gip....

Massilion has more recruiting violations than anyone in R1Div1

keep whining though, your juice box league is just around the corner.

Clearly Massillon hasn't been able to keep up when ponying up the cash. It is a depressed town.

I agree about it being a depressed town. They still take there football serious though. They have a very storied program as does McKinley and other depressed areas like Steubenville.

It could very well end up with Massilion vs. Glenville for the right to play for the D2 title..

Wadsworth is not. It is somewhat of a bedroom community. But I work in Barberton...which is. As for the Wadsworth game, since my kids are no longer in school, it is not as big a deal. Though I wonder about the seeding. That was a home game for Wadsworth, yet clearly Cleveland Hts was the better team.

Could Cleveland Hts. be a force against the big private schools?

If they are still around in the 3rd quarter it could become interesting. Ed's has come out flat numerous times for the 2nd half.

Cleve hts has speed and the coaching is good.

Is that the matchup this week? Hts. vs. Ed's? I think it would be nice to see Hts. win.

Yes, I believe that is the matchup. The game is at Byers field 7:00. The early line is Ed's by 16pts.

Seriously? They put a betting line on high school games?

No its not a betting line.

Google drew pastuer and you'll see he uses mathematical formulas to come up with a winner for all hs football game statewide.

He averages between 70-82% correct depending on the time of the season.

Div 1 semi-finals this week. No real surprises. In fact there are no real surprises in any Div. yet.

Game of the week is definitely Mentor vs. Iggy Edge to Iggy

Austintown fitch vs Ed's Edge to Ed's

Moeller vs. Colerain Edge to Moe

Hilliard Dav vs Wayne Edge to Hilliard.

The seeding in Region 2 eliminated st. x and elder opening the door for Hilliard and Wayne.

All the publics alive have a legit shot of defeating the privates.....

    Division 1

    Down to the final 4!!!!

Region 1 has Mentor vs. Ed's

Region 2 has Moeller vs. Hilliard Davidson

ironically 1vs. 2 seeds in both regions. The Mentor vs. Ed's sets up to be the game of the week. Both teams have improved from last year.

Wel,, you know I'm happy with the way Mentor improved not just over last season, but since losing to Iggy in week-3. Both Ed's and Mentor dominated the competition to get to this game, it's going to be a classic.
