  • I'd personally put goodfellas over either godfather 1 or 2 as far as mafia movies go. I found the godfather trilogy boring.

  • I won't list because there are too many categories, horror, science fiction, drama, etc.

  • Just come up with your top five diehard. It's tough bit that's what makes it your top five

  • Steve I should adjust my honorable mentions to include Rocky. One of my all time favorite series of movies. Maybe 4 was far fetched and five was forgettable but still. Plus it includes the arguably the best theme song ever. Indiana Jones gives it a run for the money, though.

  • Lord Of The Rings

    Star Wars

    Princess Bride

    Fifth Element

    Something About Mary

Best new movie: We're the Millers, It had me dying...

  • Princess bride is an absolute sentimental favorite of mine. What a great flick. If you've never read the book (by William Goldman, I think) its somehow even better. Other sentimental favorites of mind would include Home Alone (the first) and Jim henson's Labyrinth.

  • We're the millers looks awesome. I love Sudakis.

Yeah, he's hilarious. Was great on SNL too. If you rent it (which you should!), definitely watch the extra footage at the end.

I actually loaned Princess Bride to someone at work. They didn't like it. Guess you have to have a certain type of humor to enjoy that one.

  • I think this last snl core cast is really underrated. There's been a lot of funny moments on snl in the last few years.

  • SNL is and has been garbage for the last 5 years at least. I literally can't make it through episodes anymore.

  • My wife and i still watch SNL. There is still some good stuff but i don't think it will ever measure up to past casts. Drunk Uncle is hilarious.

  • Past casts? The 70s were overrated. Most if the eighties stunk. The early to mid nineties were classic. Will ferrells contemporaries were horrible. I literally think the hader/sudakis led casts of the last few years have been the best since the early nineties. Bone up on the old casts on netflix before you start in on how great it USED to be.

  • My top five:

    Tremors

    Tremors 2

    Tremors 3

    Tremors

A 30 minute episode of Community played on loop for 2 hours.

I'd go for the paintball episodes of community on loop. Or maybe just Annie on loop.

Not bad....except for Annie Hall....which I would probably put on my list of the Top 5 movies that I never want to see again.

  • I don't know how anyone can just say "these are my top 5". But I can fairly well come up with a Top 25....and in some of these I incluse a compilation of movies. In alphabetical order, here are 25 that Top my list:

    Animal House

    Back to the Future Trilogy

    The Big Lebowski

    Casablana

    Chicago

    (A) Clockwork Orange

Die Hard 1&2, not beyond those

Hitchcock Trilogy of Rear Window/Vertigo/North by Northwest

    Pulp Fiction/Reservoir Dogs (same "universe")

Raiders of the Lost Ark/Indiana Jones Series (except the second one)

Rocky (I particularly...but may include some of the others as well...but not all)

    Shawshank Redemption

    Some Like It Hot

Star Trek Series (only some: Wrath of Kahn/Voyage Home...with the whales/Undiscovered Country

    Star Wars Series

    The Sting

    Dr. Strangelove

    Toy Story, particularly #3

    The Wizard of Oz

(even cutting down to this many was difficult for me. there are probably a couple of dozen more that I would like to list)

  • Also, FYI, The Hunger Games movies are really good. I just saw the new one and loved it.

  • If anyone has ever seen The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Roberf Ford? Just viewed it the other day and its a very very underrated western and one of the most beautiful and well acted films ive ever seen

I agree, this one nearly made my top 5. It definitely makes my top 10.
