Barring injury, it's a good decision by Mariota.

More seasoning and less round 1 competition should improve his draft position.

I think Mariota has a lot of the tools to be good, but would have been thrown to the wolves if he came out this year. He's making an extremely smart decision to come back and get more experience under his belt. There's no doubt barring serious injury he'll be the top 2015 prospect as well.

so it'd prob be winston and mariota as one and two prospects coming out in 2015, which bodes the question:

do we have hoyer start next year (given he's 100% healthy) pick a rookie QB with one of our later picks use our first 3-4 picks to bolster the OL and LB positions as well as get a RB and WR in no special order and then wait until 2015 to go squarely after one of the 2 to come out in 2015?

Mariota declares that he is staying, OK (but note: it is not official until January....he could change his mind).

Also Zack Mettenberger comes up with an ACL tear.....so whatever stock he had has almost certainly plummetted.

Yes, to me, if the Browns are to get a QB I say sit tight and take what falls to them. After all, BR was a #11, Rodgers a #24.

Just don't take a QB if we have #22....as that is where both Quinn and Weeden were taken.

I'm guessing Ben Berger will be pulling for Zach Berger, as they both have sexual misconduct allegations (Zach has been convicted for 2 cases of sexual battery, at a bar like Ben) and are part of the -berger Fraternity.

Is that true about Mettenberger? Actual convictions? When did this happen and why then is he still on the LSU team?

Yup... but it was two counts of grouping one young woman at a bar. Zach was dead drunk. He plead guilty to both counts. It's why he was kicked out of UGA.
