  • i hope you're not insinuating he come here as head coach, or d coordinator, or o coordinator. Soooooo...special teams coach? Something on that team is horribly wrong, that kind of precipitous falloff in production from that talent level has to at least in no small measure land on the coaching staff. I mean something. They went from AFC powerhouse to the worst team in football in one year. They should have been contending for home field advantage throughout the playoffs this year, not be sitting at 2 wins. Only thing i can figure is they're tanking for one of the qb's, even though I thought they had a pretty good one, or they're coasting for Clowney. I dunno. I kind of want us to coast for Clowney myself, or at least be in a position to take him so some other team gives us their draft this year or next.

Their collapse is squarely on Schaubs shoulders. He was awful this year.
  • Do you think our coaching staff - Horton especually will get recruited next year - will stay here next year? just curious.

Who would pay enough money to steal him and why?

    WSS

  • I watched him call 26 plus pass plays in a row on Thursday night only down one score and over a quarter to play, against one of the leagues worst rushing defenses. He should've been fired for that alone...... Na,I'll pass.

  • one heart stint away from doing a joe paterno.

except paterno actually ran across the field and made it to the shitter without dumpin it on the lawn.

kubiak? don't wish bad on anyone but i think the stress of the job is actually killing the guy. for real.

Thirded. Chud and Norv are back next year guaranteed. What use woul dyou have for a HC that managed to lose 11 games in a row?

But still better than Brandon Weeden. 🙂

I'll never forget when Joe Pa ran into the locker room in black pants and came out in khakis.

  • Gary Kubiak has been fired by the Houston Texans. Would any of you be interested in him coming to the Browns' organization? I'm thinking he'll take the rest of the season off for health reasons, but he should be available come next season. Prior to this year's collapse (pun not intended), he led his ragtag team, with Schaub of all people at QB, to a playoff win 2 years in a row and helmed a mighty defense. Even right now, they still have the #3 defense in terms of yd allowed, #10 offense in terms of total yd and the #11 passing offense- with Keenum and Schaub.

The "facts" in your premise are simply not true. Take it from someone who follows the Texans... The team has hardly been "rag tag" in recent years. They've been steadily gathering talent for a while now. Their FO is really, really good.

Kubiak has next to nothing to do with the Defense. The D is Wade Phillips' turf and before Wade's arrival it was not good...especially in big games.

Kub's is a WCO/ zone blocking devotee so is not a match with our scheme.

If Shanahan survives in DC and his kid gets a HC job, Kub's will rejoin his old boss as OC.

Lol, so you'd be a fan of King Kubiak coming here?

    Obviously... 😉

Seriously, I think Kub's is a good coach, but given health (and now HC) questions around him, his next position will be in OC or O-position role.

And there's no fit for him with the Browns.
