[The Gipper]

1. The Browns next opponent, the Bears, play tonight on MNF. Do you think it gives the Browns an advantage (or any other team) to face an opponent who has had a short week due to playing on Monday Night?

2. Florida St. vs. Auburn... Who do you think will win? Who do you want to win?

3. Do you have a favorite artist? Who

.Bashar Assad, President of Syria
• Jeff Bezos, Amazon founder
• Ted Cruz, Texas senator
• Miley Cyrus, singer
• Pope Francis, leader of the Catholic Church
• Barack Obama, President of the United States
• Hassan Rouhani, President of Iran
• Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Services

9. Roger Staubach

8. Peyton Manning

7. Brett Favre

6. Tom Brady

5. Steve Young

4. Dan Marino

3. John Unitas

1. John Elway

[Browns149]

1. The Bears are at home and they only got to travel here from Chicago, so no I don't think, in this case it's that big a deal

2. I hope FSU blows Aub out by 50

3. David Mann

4. Edward Snowden

5. Montana is 1 not Elway and didn't Johnny U play in the 50'2 and 60's

My own opinions:

1. The Browns next opponent, the Bears, play tonight on MNF. Do you think it gives the Browns an advantage (or any other team) to face an opponent who has had a short week due to playing on Monday Night?

I honestly don't know the facts. I suspect someone has analyzed this. My general suspicion is NO, it does not benefit the team that a MNFer plays the following week. A bad team will lose regardless. A good team will win regardless.

2. Florida St. vs. Auburn... Who do you think will win? Who do you want to win?

I think FSU will win....and I want them to win at this point. Auburn won at least 2 games on a fluke.....and any team that has to win 62-49 really doesn't deserve to win a national title.

FSU seems to be one team that plays some real defense.....and lets get rid of this SEC bias. Sorry, but Baylor/Mich St. had equal claim.....and both I believe would probably beat Auburn.

3. Do you have a favorite artist? Who

Not really a single one. I have a few that I like quite a bit though:: Andrew Wyeth, Georgia O'Keefe, Salvador Dali, sure Picasso

4. Here are the finalists for the Time Magazine Person of the Year for 2013. Who should win?:

.Bashar Assad, President of Syria

• Jeff Bezos, Amazon founder

• Ted Cruz, Texas senator

• Miley Cyrus, singer

• Pope Francis, leader of the Catholic Church

• Barack Obama, President of the United States

• Hassan Rouhani, President of Iran

• Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Services

• Edward Snowden, NSA leaker

• Edith Windsor, gay rights activist

A US President or the Pope could be named every year, so lets not go there. And I don't think a person should be name Man/Woman/Person of the Year for being a douchenozzle. So eliminate Assad/Cruz/Rouhani/Snowden/Cyrus. Gay rights? Bore me why don't you.

That leaves Bezos and Sebelius. But if you name Sibelius, you should just go ahead and name her boss who sets policy.

So, by process of elimination go with Bezos. I guess, though I am not that thrilled with that choice.

5. Jason Whitlock has listed these QBs in order as the best QBs in the NFL since 1970. Do you agree with this order? If not, fix it.:

10. Fran Tarkenton

9. Roger Staubach

8. Peyton Manning

7. Brett Favre

6. Tom Brady

5. Steve Young

4. Dan Marino

3. John Unitas

2. Joe Montana

1. John Elway

Here is my fix:

1. Montana

2. Unitas (if he is nominated I will use his whole career even though most pre '70)

3. Brady

4. Elway

5. Peyton

6. Favre

7. Marino

8. Terry Bradshaw

9. Jim Kelly

10. Roger Staubach

Yes, I left the overrate Young off as well as Tarkenton. If I did a next 5 I would go:

11. Brees

12. Fouts

13. Tarkenton

14. Young

15. Rodgers....as much for his future as his present.

Of course, I would not have relegated it to just post 1970....in which case the likes of Graham/Baugh/Luckman/Starr very well may all have made Top 10.

Yes.

2. Florida St. vs. Auburn... Who do you think will win? Who do you want to win?

Will win ... FSU. Want win ... Auburn. Not real interested though.

3. Do you have a favorite artist? Who

No, I can't say that I do.

4. Here are the finalists for the Time Magazine Person of the Year for 2013. Who should win?:

3. John Unitas

2. Joe Montana

1. John Elway

1 Manning
2 Montana

3 Brady

4 Elway

5 Favre

6 Marino

7 Young

8 Staubach

9 Tarkenton

10 Bradshaw (Unitas didn't do much after 1970)

If you want to all time, then Unitas, Graham and Baugh enter the Top 5 with Manning and Montana

Of course, as far as artists go, you cannot go wrong with the Renaissance Classics:

Raphael, Donatello, Michaelangelo, Leonardo

[The Gipper]

Georgia O'Keefe always had a way of doing a double entendre with her paintings;

[The Gipper]

I have a print of this one by Wyeth in my bedroom:

[The Gipper]

I found what appeared to be two different David Mann's who I had not heard of before. There is this interpretation:

[The Gipper]

Then there is this. Are they the same guy?

Not the Browns after the way thay lost.

2. Florida St. vs. Auburn... Who do you think will win? Who do you want to win?

Auburn will win. Have no rooting interest in that game.

3. Do you have a favorite artist? Who

Don't have a favorite unless you consider writhing an art. Then Pat Conroy, and Rachel Kushner

The Pope by a landside

8. Peyton Manning 6

7. Brett Favre 8

6. Tom Brady 2

5. Steve Young 9

4. Dan Marino 5

3. John Unitas 10 only because he wasnt really in the 70's

2. Joe Montana 1

1. John Elway 4

2. Florida St. vs. Auburn... Who do you think will win? Who do you want to win?

Auburn on both. I never cared for FSU

3. Do you have a favorite artist? Who

Van Gogh

1. John Elway

I would delete Steve Young and put Terry Bradshaw in there. I don't like Elway as the top choice, I'd say it should be Montana, Brady, Manning, & Bradshaw at 1-4. I would also put Tarkenton over Marino, he got to 3 Super Bowls if I recall.

[Browns149]

David Mann was the PREMIER biker artist.

Lol!

[koalabazooka]

1. A small advantage. Would be bigger if the matchup was on TNF.

2. FS because they have the ultimate blend of O & D.

3. Too many to list.

4. Snowden revolutionized the way we look at the government and created an internat'l firestorm.

5. #1 Montana, #2 Brady

[Tour2ma]

Here is this week's survey. Give your opinions:

1. The Browns next opponent, the Bears, play tonight on MNF. Do you think it gives the Browns an advantage (or any other team) to face an opponent who has had a short week due to playing on Monday Night?

It can... but it depends on whether the MNF was won or lost.

Also travel for the MNF visitor can be unfair...

Since the Bears both won and were at home, I think we gained no advantage this week.

2. Florida St. vs. Auburn... Who do you think will win? Who do you want to win?

I gotta go with Auburn... they are the hot team right now.

I don't really care who wins... no stake in this game...

3. Do you have a favorite artist? Who

As in Painter? Probably Claude Monet...

As in Composer? Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky... or as I call him... Pete

As in performer? David Bowie

4. Here are the finalists for the Time Magazine Person of the Year for 2013. Who should win?:

I have no idea as to why most of the list is even being considered...

Kinda comes down to these two:

• Pope Francis, leader of the Catholic Church
• Hassan Rouhani, President of Iran

I'd go Pope for 2013, and if this nuclear program thing pans out Rouhani can have it in 2014....

5. Jason Whitlock has listed these QBs in order as the best QBs in the NFL since 1970. Do you agree with this order? If not, fix it.:

10. Tarkenton 9. Staubach 8. P Manning 7. Favre 6. Brady 5. Young 4. Marino 3. Unitas 2. Montana 1. Elway

First I drop Favre and Young, and add Kelly and Moon...

1. Montana 2. Brady 3. Unitas 4. P Manning 5. Elway 6. Staubach 7. Marino 8. Moon 9. Kelly 10. Tarkenton

So, are those native American paintings I found under the name of David Mann done by a different David Mann?

Not really. The only way I think it would be an advantage is if it was a Monday night to Thursday night game. Otherwise, it's not going to make a difference.

2. Florida St. vs. Auburn... Who do you think will win? Who do you want to win?

In a close one, I think Auburn has a better chance to win. FSU hasn't really been in any close games all year, so I don't know how battle tested they are. Auburn has come back from the brinks and is peaking right now, so I say Auburn in a close, high-scoring game.

3. Do you have a favorite artist? Who

As far as art is concerned? Nope
