Should the Browns wait til next year?.....to get a QB?

Recall, Bridgewater/Manziel/Bortles and others still have eligibility and may actually return to school.

And the pool of QBs is supposed to be better: Winston will likely declare, Mariota will also...any of the guys named above or otherwise could be available then and not now.

If we do take a QB this year could it be a down the line guy? (3rd/4th round)

    What say you all?

Too early to tell. After the whole process is over ill chime in with my opinion but if they like a guy then do what it takes to get him. Just don't tamper with next years draft.

The Browns have had the worst group of Qbs for 10+ years.

QB is the most important position in football by a mile.

Bad teams tend to draft in the top 10 of an NFL draft.

This logic seems to dictate the Browns must have taken many QBs with top 10 picks in the last 10+ years.

"What's that?" They haven't? How is that possible. How stupid could they be?

Nah, they aren't dumb. That is the best strategy. Just keep waiting. You cant risk missing the next Joe Thomas. He could carry them to a 5 win season!!!

Just fill all 21 holes on an NFL team. That's how its done. Just look at NE, Den, NO, etc. That's how they do it! 😵

Ryan Tannehill, Andy Dalton, Brady Quinn, Kellen Clemmens, Aaron Rodgers, Big Rape, whatever. I will roll the dice on one of these guys. Who gives a crap if you cost yourself the next Joe Thomas.

And if they whiff on a QB this year? Keep taking one until you get it right.

The wait til next year tactic has worked somewhat well in the past.....particularly for the Steelers. Prior to 2004 they spent a lot of resources filling up their defense and their offensive position....except for QB.

And then they struck for the QB when they had every other position manned.

They took BR in the first round and went 15-1....but lost in the playoffs, but the next year they won the title.

Now, of course, if you are going to follow this tactic, then the guy you are waiting for has to be the real deal. Could some of those choices be the real deal next year....far better than what is available this year?

The Browns need to fill some other holes: ILB, WR, OG,

If you saw my mock in the one thread you will note that I did not take a QB until the 7th round: Keith Price.

Let me ask this question: Is there any debate that either Mariota or Winston will be better than anyone coming out this year?

And another question: Is Mariota really staying in school. He has til I believe Jan. 15 to declare. Could he not change his mind once he plays in his bowl game?

None of these top rated QBs really seem like a must have...look what Gordon can do with a garbage QB like Weeds...I don't see why we cant get a later Dalton cousins wilson type and surround him with talent.
