The next Browns coach will be ?

Tim Couch Pulls Out

Horton will be gone. He'll accept the job in Green Bay or wherever.

Broncos OC Adam Gase is a name being tossed around rather heavily as well. It's more than speculation, as the Browns have inquired about him on more than one occasion throughout the season.

beare

will be mcdanials

should be lovie smith or gruden

bonedawg

Will be: Norv Turner

Should be: Lovie Smith

McDaniels would be a disaster. Maybe we could bring Tebow in and replicate the clusterfuck he had going on in Denver. Speaking of the Broncos, how hard is it to be a great OC when Peyton Manning is your QB? I'd be wary of judging Gase's success there.

gftChris

I wasn't aware Denver had an OC, I assumed Manning was just designing and calling every play.

DieHardBrownsFan

Don't know who it will be, but doubt Horton or Turner.

Hopefully we get someone who says "We lost, we failed to execute and everyone sucks" instead of someone who says "we played competitively, and we did a lot of things right."

hammertime

Horton

I'm sure Romeo is just sitting on his couch eating twinkies and potato chips, give the teddy bear a call! Maybe get Marty off his golf cart at Shady Acres retirement home and see if he's still got some fire in his belly.

Tim Couch Pulls Out

Won't be: Norv Turner, Ray Horton, Lovie Smith, Jon Gruden, Nick Saban, Jack Del Rio, Mike Shanahan, Bill Cowher

Will be: Josh McDaniels

Should be: Josh McDaniels

Our coach needs to be the guy out FO wants, whether or not we as fans agree with it. This way, we'll at least have some continuity. They won't fire their guy after one bad season, they won't use him as a scapegoat or try to have him shoulder all the blame. If Josh McDaniels fails, the entire FO goes with him. If he succeeds, we'll have a winning team in Cleveland.

If they go out and get some guy they don't really want, then we'll just see the same shit we've been seeing.

The next Browns coach will be Josh McDaniels

The next Browns coach should be Lovie Smith

Lombanner press conference at 12:30.

IMO I'd like to keep Horton as DC for at least some continuity, but doubt it's happening.

Norv Turner is free to retire IMO.

Next coach will be: here for 2 years.

Tim Couch Pulls Out

Jim Schwartz out in Detroit.

Tour2ma

The next Browns coach will be DOOMED!!!

Great, another Lombardi favorite on the market.

Mark O

Schwartz is the only name I've heard rumored who I want no part of. Didn't help when I heard this morning that they had the same trouble closing games as we did. Lost 6 in a row to end the season and had the lead in most of those games late.

bonedawg

Schwartz sucked with a team that has waaaay more talent than the Browns, why would anyone think that he would be successful here? I'd kill to have Megatron, Stafford, Fairley, Suh, & Bush on our team. Pretty sure chud would have won more games than Schwartz did with that kind of talent.

Tim Couch Pulls Out

It wouldn't be the craziest thing in the world to imagine Schwartz in at DC if McDaniels gets the HC job.

Lombardi will just try and recreate that early 90's Cleveland Browns crew.

Nobody likes Schwartz except Lombardi.

beare

im sorta surprised nobody offers billick a job

Erie Dawg

I want nothing to do with coaches from the belichick coaching tree.

Collectively they have a record of 125- 191. Win pct .395

A post season record of 0-2.

And all have been fired from their jobs except for 1.

How many times do we have to try out a N.E. coordinator only to find out its not working out. Can we just let the track record speak for itself?
