The Last Straw?

The Browns Board

  • I'm hearing a lot of people saying they are tired of the rebuilding and starting over. Me too. Isn't everyone? Who is the guy that isn't?

Yet, it seems when I said this about the Chud hiring and the moves that occurred during the Chud regime, people were all for "starting over again". Were people not tired of it during Chud, but they are now that he's fired? Personally, I've been tired of it for awhile now. The only difference now is that the Browns wasted YET ANOTHER year with a bad hire and staff/roster purging.

  • There will be no last straw. There will be a last shovel of dirt on my grave. And hopefully we have won a fucking Super Bowl by then.

    Zombo

  • I agree. I haven't wasted a lot of good blood-boiling brain cells to this team to quit on them just because they still suck.

I'm a fan. Write it down. Learn it. Live it. Or get the fuck out.

  • Amen, sisters! That's what I like to hear!

  • Am I tired of it? - check

    Does it suck? - check

Do the games and FO decisions leave me screaming and cussing out loud to myself? - check

Am I tired of a team that is under construction more than the OH and PA turnpikes? - check

Am I still a Browns fan? YOU BET YOUR ASS I AM AND ALWAYS WILL BE.

  • And the world continues to turn.......

Send somebody to check me for a pulse the day the browns with their 8th game in a season, but I'll probably be dead and in heaven. I couldn't be in hell, b/c that would be like having to watch the Browns stink and make dumb decisions all the time with the hope every year that....... wait a sec.... chek me for a pulse... am I IN hell??

    Go Browns!!!

  • Some things never change.

I still hate the stupid, sleazeball, lying, hypocrite owner. Check.

I still hate the losing every year. Check.

I still hate the lack of talent where missing, especially at qb. Check.

I still lament the dumbfooks in the fo. Check.

But now i've lost my superbowl dream forever. But I sure as hell will be

in front of the TV watching them whenever they get there, and I'll be just

as intrigued with next year's draft, and I'll always be a Browns fan.

Because of the players who love the game, just like all of us hard core Browns fans do.

I think most people (myself included) were just happy that Shurmur got the boot. I also believe there were a lot of us who thought Haslem wasn't lying when he touted the importance of stability at the HC position. Chud didn't have a good first year by any stretch, but he was a first year coach who faced a lot of adversity. I would assume that a lot of us expected chud to improve considerably in his second year, but now we will never know exactly how much he learned from the shitstorm that was the 2013 season.

  • When our Browns hoist that Super Bowl Trophy high above their head it will be a victory far sweeter than any band wagon fan will ever know.

But until then let the beatings continue......

you forgot to put down on your hate list:

    black people.

    democrats.

    anti-NRA people.

    kittens and puppies.

    bambi.

    and women.

  • I will never quit being a Browns fan. I hope I am healthy enough to witness a Super Bowl win.

When I was younger, at the Red Right 88 game, I thought that was the worst feeling ever. 33 years later, I realize these last 6 seasons have been much worse...getting beat down by our division foes, losing home games constantly, and basically not much to get excited about.

I might drive my Silverado through their practice facility if they trade draft picks this year. Please draft us 10 players and start whipping Pitt, Balt, & Cincy.

  • 1st Chud wasnt here long enough to have a regime.

2nd I only made it to 2 games this year and can't recall anyone there or on here calling for chud to be fired. I think everyone saw the problems on the field talent wise and were more worried if they could fill them holes with talented players this offseason.

  • I'm 67 years old, a life long Browns' Fan, and damnit, I REFUSE to croak until I see at least ONE Browns' Super Bowl win!!!

One thing I know is that the NFL will see a celebration like no other when that happens.....and it WILL!

    Last straw?....HELL NO!

    I'm with you...

  • The Browns used to be my wife that I held in high esteem, respected and loved.

The Browns are now my piece on the side that I really don't respect but can't get rid of.

Maybe if this broad cleans her act up I'll take her out to dinner, but I'll always keep her around.

  • still bleeding brown and orange after 52 years.

when they burn me i want them to add some food coloring to make my ashes orange and brown, then put me in a bowl and smoke me.

    best high you'll ever have.

  • 39 years here and still waiting for the big one. Uh, Super Bowl that is. Then the other big one can happen.

My father is 68 and the biggest reason I'm a Browns fan. At least he got to see them win an NFL Championship...when he was just fresh out of high school. Oh but he also got to see them win it all when he was in grade school too...if he can even remember that far back, lol.

Perhaps we should give new owner Hasmat a chance. After all this is only his first year. He needs time to get it right and get the right people in place.

  • Brown & Orange FOREVER !

  • "Shaken, not stirred..." No need for a straw.

Thank you booze and Browns Board members for getting me through these tough seasons.

Have faith and stay thirsty, my friends.

  • Mik,

The subject was football, and all your suggestions are completely invalid.

I do hate soggy, overcooked veggies

And running out of firewood, which will be by the end of Jan.

But I will always love the Browns, even though the fo now is ruled

    by three stupid potato heads.
