  • Man Mark, that doesn't sound very promising. My dream hire was Lovie, but once he signed I'm now just sort of floundering between who I want less. The Gates dude is probably #1 on that list, but it's a competitive list for sure.

  • Nope...I've been on the McDaniels bandwagon but I'm not so sure after reading that. Silver is very honest and harsh in his opinions. So you never know where that's coming from and how much he dislikes McDaniels.

There is no reason to like Josh McD. We don't have anyone named Tom Brady or Bill Bellichik - so I don't know how he can be good here.

Lets see....Silver criticises in that article Josh McDaniels for engaging in a feud with his team's QB and WR, and for having an abrasive personality, and for making questionable personell moves.

Let's see, who else fit that mold? Oh, yes, one Mr. Bill Belichick himself....who Silver praises up and down as having found a new way with his second gig.

So? Belichick can do it, but McDaniels couldn't? Why not?

And yet, he claims the likes of Jackson and Caldwell would be any better? Why?

Sorry, not buying this guy's agenda.

Well, again....is there not reason to question BBs resume without Brady? I documented that on another post....either here or in another thread.

  • Watching some press conferences online and really liking what I'm seeing from James Franklin. Seems like a strong smart leader.

I would take Franklin, Mahlzan, or Stoops over McDaniels. The Chud situation leads me to believe that this FO will make the politically expedient decision as opposed to the one that's best for this team.

The nice thing about Franklin after reading up on him is that he'd be really good for Josh Gordon.

  • just hire rob ryan and be done with it. i'm sure some young offensive genius from somewhere would love to ride his coat tails. also you know our DC would be outrageous because he'd pick him.

  • ESPN reporting Stoops is not an option .......so with NFL.com reporting Browns narrowed search down to McDaniels and Stoops there must be only one outcome....Josh McDaniels welcome to Cleveland ?
