That's amazing, will certainly aim for that weekend then.

Howie and Gman live in the Cotswalds....not sure if they fly out of London or Birmingham. Kmac is in Scotland. I believe he comes in from Glasgow.

If you go to my Facebook page you can see a photo of our gathering last year on my cover picture

We will start planning our return trip as soon as the schedule is released in late April.
Every team will have at least one prime time game (Sunday, Monday or Thursday night). Just not guaranteed to be a home prime time game. Everything worked out perfectly for a Sunday and Thursday home game in the same week and as it turns out we saw half the teams wins for the season in 6 days.

I hate the disappointed ride home from the bar after a Browns loss. Sitting in my car wearing Browns gear, driving past bars full of cheering people. I can't imagine a disappointed 7hr plane ride.

That's why I don't leave till the next day. Plenty of time to drink and forget about what happened at the game.

I want to get to a College game on the Saturday, been told it's a great experience.
-
Big time college game available in Columbus 120 miles down the road. Certainly doable for a Saturday day trip. (Any Scots attending Ohio State games must be properly dressed
in skirts, errr, I mean kilts).
Bring some of your wenches for the big football weekend. Preferably those who look good in tight Levi's and have twerking skills.
Peace

Exactly hte OSU experience is amazing- if it can be coordinated. Be prepared to spend some pretty significant money on the secondary market for a ticket though.

I hope you enjoy the trip LondonBrown. I aim to make my first trip to C-Town in a few years time (when my loans are paid off)!!!! Until then I'll have to make do with Gamepass.

OSU would be nice but it would be further away and more expensive to get a seat......and you wouldn't necessarily have to go there to get a decent college football experience. You could attend either an Akron U or Kent St. both Division I teams, both much closer than Columbus. Just walk up a buy a reasonable priced tickets. Both play in fairly nice stadiums.
And, FYI it doesn't have to be Division I (FBS). You can have a fun time seeing a D-III game....like at Case/John Carroll/Baldwin-Wallace/Mt. Union and several others.

I will be making my first trip across the pond to a game this year and I couldn’t be more excited.
Obviously, the sooner we get flights sorted the better in terms of cost so wondered if there are any clues whatsoever on what dates the Browns will be playing home fixtures in 2014?
Or, as I suspect, are we all in the dark until the schedules are released in April?

try to find the toothless hookers (you should be used to that) down by the shoreline after scoring a bag of crack. it'll be a great time.

I'm also planning a 2015 trip to Believeland. Maybe we'll have a competitive team then...

you might want to consider refundable airline tickets
-
just don't do a cameo appearance on the reality tv show 'the first 48 hours'.
that'll mean you ended up in east cleveland trying to score some drugs and you got shot.

You won't know until April. Don't worry, that is early enough that you will get the best rate possible. Use this time to research hotels and restaurants. You can also research various carriers...any direct flights to Cleveland or not or if you have to switch in NYC or somewhere else.
You could also determine what month you are going to go, then just pick a date that works in that month. Sept or Oct would probably be your best bet. Howie, Gareth, and Keith all come over every year. Maybe contact them for tips.

Thanks everyone, it's almost certain to be in September.
What Cleveland bars do I want to be hitting?

I strongly advise you hang with locals while here. Don't go anywhere outside the downtown area unless you are with someone who knows the area. You should be fine.

The Leader bar by the rock hall is sweet man. tons of awesome craft beers!!!!

Some of you guys make Cleveland sound less safe than Baghdad it can't be that bad...
