The Browns have interest in Greg Schiano

  • Can you imagine how much other teams would hate us if we hired this dude and drafted Manziel. Talk about a HC/QB combination that isn't lacking confidence. The problem is the guy is batshit crazy and the team would check out on him within 2 weeks. There's a fine line between being an asshole that the players love playing for (Jim Harbaugh) and just being an asshole.

  • The front office deserves him.

  • is harbaugh putting on some pounds or what? that rain/wind coat of his couldn't hide that gut.

looks like he's been either eatin too much or drinking too much or both.

    hate that prick.

  • I'm not as down on Schiano as you guys - seems he got a bad deal in Tampa and had to deal with a lot of BS (Freeman, MRSA etc.). He was building a good young team - look at their last two drafts. If he's good enough for Belichick, he's good enough for me. We know all too well how Big Bill rebounded after getting fired...

  • just heard it on 92.3 per Bull & Fox.

Sure it ain't Bull and Shit?

The guy failed miserably in TB

    This just cannot be true.

when speaking of this FO, or any of the Browns FO's since they've come back....on what basis do you make the statement "this just cannot be true"? From what i've seen of this team since 99 there isn't anything now which would shock me. There isn't. Maybe if they actually did hire the Rock as coach i'd have to sit down for a minute....but honestly only for a minute. After a minute i'd slowly start to nod my head and say yep....that's about right, should be fine.

  • There are high school teams that would not be interested in Greg Schiano.

Not to mention every single div 1 team.

    Please God, baby Jesus, no.

    What he said!

We just keep interviewing clowns with poor track records....can't wait to see what state the team is in after FA and the draft. 😵

  • Hey, didn't Goldie Hawn once coach in a movie?....and win??...HEY STOOGES!!!!!

The rock has a football background, is a great motivator, knows all about getting and staying in top physical condition and is the most electrifying man in all of sports entertainment!

Probably both....and I'd still give up both of our first round picks this year for him to come coach the Browns.

I interned at the ESPN radio affiliate in Tampa for five months last season. The only person who got a bum deal was the collective Bay Area.

I met the guy, not a fan.

The GM Dominik built the team, Schiano ran it into the ground.

    He was DESPISED.

    HELL NO, THANKS.

Of course hell no, but the Stooges just might have to make a desperation move. They have to know by now they f##ked up majorly, pissed of the players, 90% of the fanbase, And won't get shit for a HC. Gase coming here? Dream on. They'll be spinning so hard at the post hire presser, if they were spring loaded, you could launch the lot of them into orbit. Right now if you took a vote of the season tickets holders, I'm fairly confident "Deportation to another planet" would rank pretty high as an option.

Ironically..My younger Brother and I had a discussion, that He may let go of his season tickets depending on who these assholes hire . And I cant say I blame him. These dufus'es really screwed the pooch this time.

  • I nearly cried when I saw this link on twitter last night. I was all for giving this FO a chance but I'm on verge of losing all hope like a lot of you guys.

well if you think this FO wouldn't give him plenty of bullshit to deal with..........we might as well scratch everyone off the list and promote from with.

yep, that's right. harry the ball boy is now the HC of the 2014 cleveland browns.

but i agree schiano built a program at rutgers, who weren't even on the map before he got there (even though it took him 5 years), and he turned around the U's D from 12th to 5th within 2 years. TB was a mess. just like i'm sure chud is waking up in the middle of the nite screaming 'WHY??'

I think there is little doubt the guy can develop talent. When he got to Rutgers there were only a handful of RU alums in the NFL - now there are 28, more than Arkansas, Virginia Tech, Stanford, Clemson...

As a proud Rutgers alum and longtime Browns fan, I think he's at least worth a look.
