thought for sure wisenhunt to the lions was a done deal, but it's official to the titans.

caldwell is not official yet to detroit.

It is obvious we are getting Gace ......... we might have to wait over 3 weeks to make the hire ......

If we do hire him I do not see how he differs to Chud in being a young offensive minded ex co-ordinator.

The only coaching you need to do in Denver is to say.....ok center snap it to Peyton

Just playing devils advocate here on Gace because he's not my first choice. But I've heard in the last few weeks Peyton giving Gace all sorts of credit for his playcalls during the games in interviews. So in thinking positively about the guy....if Peyton Manning, who is one of the top 5 QB's of all time, thinks this guy is a great coach, how the hell do any of us criticize that choice?

peyton never says anything bad about anyone. that's just his nature. half the time he covers up bullshit with the sweet smell of roses.

i don't know enough about gace to say how good or bad the guy is, but if you think peytn doesn't change half of his calls eith in the huddle or at the line of scrimmage you don't know jack about peyton manning.

unfortunately being a good head coach requires much more than being a good play caller....it is a start though.

Caldwell? the uninspiring former coordinator who led the "suck for Luck" campaign after Dungy left Indy?

Is Matt Millen back in Detroit ???

Theyre just doing due diligence, interviewing the top Cleveland Area High School and Pop Warner coaches for that big jump up to the pros, now that every viable candidate has (wisely) turned them down. Can't wait for the post hire presser on how "they really got their guy this time."

Sorry Stooges, you're getting as much slack as you cut Chud, which is none.

There's an outside shot that they were impressed with Quinn from the Seahawks too. No speculation, just thinking that it's possible.

To Larry's point, they have MULTIPLE first-choice candidates so they are sure to get their man.

PS Who ever had a 'front runner' before you even interviewed him? Of course McDaniels might have played hard ball and insisted on an immediate offer but, saying he was or wasn't the front runner is hard for me to believe.

Last true front runners were Crennel and Mangini. That being said, Mangini wasn't half bad. He is currently an 'advisor' to the 49ers - not a bad comment on reputation and capability.

He also was the OC that got the Tebow lead Broncos into the Playoffs.. He changed his offense multiple times

Mike McCoy was one of my personal top 3 candidates last year. But we hired chud instead.

Gase is not the same as Mike McCoy. They're 1 year late and 10 million short on hiring a broncos OC.
