I interned at the ESPN radio affiliate in Tampa for five months last season. The only person who got a bum deal was the collective Bay Area.

I met the guy, not a fan.

The GM Dominik built the team, Schiano ran it into the ground.

    He was DESPISED.

    HELL NO, THANKS.

Of course hell no, but the Stooges just might have to make a desperation move. They have to know by now they f##ked up majorly, pissed of the players, 90% of the fanbase, And won't get shit for a HC. Gase coming here? Dream on. They'll be spinning so hard at the post hire presser, if they were spring loaded, you could launch the lot of them into orbit. Right now if you took a vote of the season tickets holders, I'm fairly confident "Deportation to another planet" would rank pretty high as an option.

Ironically..My younger Brother and I had a discussion, that He may let go of his season tickets depending on who these assholes hire . And I cant say I blame him. These dufus'es really screwed the pooch this time.

  • I nearly cried when I saw this link on twitter last night. I was all for giving this FO a chance but I'm on verge of losing all hope like a lot of you guys.

  • I'm not as down on Schiano as you guys - seems he got a bad deal in Tampa and had to deal with a lot of BS (Freeman, MRSA etc.). He was building a good young team - look at their last two drafts. If he's good enough for Belichick, he's good enough for me. We know all too well how Big Bill rebounded after getting fired...

well if you think this FO wouldn't give him plenty of bullshit to deal with..........we might as well scratch everyone off the list and promote from with.

yep, that's right. harry the ball boy is now the HC of the 2014 cleveland browns.

but i agree schiano built a program at rutgers, who weren't even on the map before he got there (even though it took him 5 years), and he turned around the U's D from 12th to 5th within 2 years. TB was a mess. just like i'm sure chud is waking up in the middle of the nite screaming 'WHY??'

I think there is little doubt the guy can develop talent. When he got to Rutgers there were only a handful of RU alums in the NFL - now there are 28, more than Arkansas, Virginia Tech, Stanford, Clemson...

As a proud Rutgers alum and longtime Browns fan, I think he's at least worth a look.

Man, if there is one profession a guy named Harry should never have, it's ball boy

when speaking of this FO, or any of the Browns FO's since they've come back....on what basis do you make the statement "this just cannot be true"? From what i've seen of this team since 99 there isn't anything now which would shock me. There isn't. Maybe if they actually did hire the Rock as coach i'd have to sit down for a minute....but honestly only for a minute. After a minute i'd slowly start to nod my head and say yep....that's about right, should be fine.

In the movie Gridiron Gang, the rock plays a head coach of a team at a youth facility, so he has some head coaching experience.......

Honestly, I would prefer The Rock over some of the coordinators being rumored now.

That's not hyperbole. I'm dead serious.

If Cleveland is going to continue to be the joke of the NFL, just go all in.

  • Schiano........the new Belichick/Coughlin? He ran a boot style camp in his first gig......alienated players/fans/media.....seemed to all to be a big asshole.....then came on in his second go around to a winning program/multiple championship performance?????

(Of course, note: If BB and Coughlin didn't win in their second go arounds.....their label as assholes would be just if not more acute)

  • LOL i could imagine Rock asking Lombardi what he thinks about the draft then interupting with "IT DOEESNT MATTER WHAT YOU THINK!!!!!"

  • Every time I log onto this forum, I lose more and more hope.

Schiano? Next stop.... bottom of the barrel...
