don't worry, the sky isn't falling.

wait until we draft a #1 QB and he does an elway or an eli on us. i guess then it'll start raining little chickens.

There is truth to this statement. It very well could happen.

Somehow, someway, this whole clusterfuck has to come out ahead.

  • The Browns 3 potato head stooges are now the laughingstock/scourge of the NFL.

Banner and Scumbardi need to be gone. They may be "football" people, but they

are classless weasels that have hurt the Browns' chances of getting things right.

  • I do not think the owner will remove the other 2 stooges because of what people say on a message board ....... in the UK football ( Soccer ) owners tend to sell or fire people if fans vote with their feet and refuse to attend games but with the Browns having a strong fan base the stadium will always be filled, and the owner will not care which asses sit on seats as long as its a paying ass ..... it is only when the owner is hit in the pocket will he ever listen to people complaining about Banner and Lombardi and alas that will not happen ........ I dislike both Banner and Lombardi and would love to see them replaced......not going to happen until at least January 2015 when we have just had another crap season ....

Why, exactly? Life isn't like that. If you suck, you suck. Sure, sometimes people win the lottery but it doesn't "Have" to happen to you.

Last Paragraph states, "The Cleveland Browns organization is not getting much respect here at the Senior Bowl. The attitude towards the Browns, specifically the front office, from personnel people around the league has ranged from disparaging to downright nasty. Several comments were passed at the South’s afternoon practice that few are surprised the Cleveland franchise cannot find a head coach considering “those in charge”. In fact choice adjectives were used by front office people here in Mobile to describe “those in charge” in Cleveland."

I think it's time that Haslam DO something about the image that his guys are doing to this team. I can understand wanting to bring in "Football" guys as a new owner, but I am not sure Haslam did enough "checking" to see how these guys are viewed by other teams FO.

My confidence in Banner and Lombardi is ice thin, it's time for Haslam to intervene.

If we are not getting respect from other front office people, can you imagine how bad it is with players?

They see Coaches like Chud, Turner and Horton as "football people" and Guys like Banner as "suits" . And when the suits screw over an entire coaching staff after 11 months on the job when they had to struggle with holes at QB and RB and more ... The reputation becomes toxic.

We had to overpay for the likes of Desmond Bryant and Paul Kruger last year, I can't imagine how we are even going to attract that kind of talent this year.

I'm sure Mack and ward are being recruited heavily at the Pro Bowl and everyone is coming up to Haden, Cameron and Gordon telling them to hang in there, they'll be "free" soon. Joe Thomas .... They just put their head down, afraid to make eye contact with the poor bastard.

  • I'd love to coach here. I'd get fired after a year and collect huge checks doing whatever I wanted for years to come.

  • well we've been screaming for national media coverage for years...............now we got it.

    albeit in a negative way.

  • Wait until that movie comes out in April with Costner about the Browns FO.

I know that it should be irrelevent, but something like that will cause even greater scrutiny to come upon the Browns FO.

With Costner playing the role of Mike Lombardi....how is that guy going to hide then?

Saw the preview this weekend when the wife and I went and saw the stinker of a movie called the legend of hercules... my God was it bad.

Anyways, I didn't even know there was a movie coming out that featured the Browns. Where have I been?

  • No surprise.

what exactly were you expecting? you did see previews right? hollywood takes every cool story and shits all over it with fgt roid using actors who couldn't pull off a 3rd grade talent show but get millions of dollars to eat all kinds of whole ass on the big screen.

So Browns movie? wtf? really? When did this happen?

  • Worst part is, with 6 Pro Bowlers, 46 mill, and 10 picks, the Browns won't be able to help fielding a really talented team. Someone will write this: "Surprise! After what seemed like a circus of a coaching search, Browns win the offseason by signing (NAMES) and drafting (NAMES)."

Then they'll win 10 games and Coach (NAME) is coach of the year, a genius.

    Man, that's gonna suck.

Seriously, like five or six years ago, the Bengals were shredded for being cheap, not spending to the cap, drafting horribly, and being the place nobody wanted to go. Not long ago, the Cardinals (and that oppressive heat) were in the same boat.

Then the Cardinals went to the Super Bowl. The Bengals are consistently called one of the league's most talented teams and have gone to the playoffs three straight years.

    Uh, hyperbole, anybody?

I might be wrong, but I don't think they can sign a "major" free agent. Those upper tier free agents can make big bucks anywhere & they have to have pride in what they do to have attained that level. Do we really think they would sign with a team (Browns) of which they would be embarrassed & ashamed? I don't, & I also think Lombardi may single handedly screw up the upcoming draft that has us in a very positive position. . The worst part is that it's beginning to look like Haslam may wait too long to make a move he HAS TO make if he expects to recover from the damage they have already done.

Jimmy, if you wait until free agency & the draft to get rid of these guys, you'll be dead in the water.

  • Canton Mike has the pitchforks and I have the torches~ Let's light these motherfuckers up.

It's bullshit that Haslam can just buy OUR team from a neverhere like Lerner and turn this motherfucker into a circus. I would wonder if this is all a game the Pittsburgh boy got while he was there with the rest of those scandalous motherfuckers. THE FBI, LOMBARDI, ONE AND DONE, JOE the shmoe BANNER, Bess the MENTALIST, "John" Quinton Grooves, Stood up for the dance- not once, not twice but three times(and that's just the reports that have come forward)... the shit just keeps fucking coming.

This crazy train is going off the rails!!! HANG ON GUYS!!!! 😵😳😵

Yeah, anything can happen, but those good things happen to other teams. Just watch Lombardi get suckered into an RGIII deal with the Texans to take Manziel, and the guy gets his knee blown out in the first preseason game.

^+1. Other new coaches are getting their staffs together, and watching tape of senior bowl practices.

I agree with you on Lombardi- he has to go, and probably Banner too- rookie owner mistake. Let the scouting staff make recommendations to the new coach, whoever that is.

Haslam has to know by now he's right in the middle of a PR nightmare- and drafting Manziel to sell tickets isn't' going to solve the underlying problem.

Wow, did I pick a fine time to start being a Browns fan. Can't call me a bandwagon. Go Brownies Go!!!

    You are golden.

First season above .500 we are closing the door.

I run a Browns Backers Club, we have 200 members and the team has not won more than five games in a season since we formed. Everyone in before we start winning will be "charter members" with preferred seating. Front runners can stand.
