Coordinator Hirings news

Not a big fan of that offense in D.C.
Don't think it's very balanced and it isn't very qb friendly IMO, but we'll see.
-
My guess is that maybe he thinks Harbaugh has some idea what he is doing.
-
Historically yes, but I meant on the football field. The Steelers and Ravens going on forever have been the bully big brothers of the division while the browns lose. I hate it just as much as anyone but let's call a spade a spade here.
True dat. Bastard stepchild they may be, but they take great pleasure in regularly kicking the shit out of their big brothers.

Agree... but it seemed to be a play calling issue and the HC does set the call mix the OC is to make.
Question: why was Kubiak so power-hungry in Cleveland? Is he going to have as much control in Baltimore? I can't see Harbaugh conceding to that.
What I heard on ESPN yesterday is he got everything he wanted in BLT. Mostly it was to bring his offnesive staff with him from Houston.

I'm up for giving Kyle Shanahan a (/another) shot. Things went real sour in D.C., and I bet he is just aching to redeem himself. He's not the greatest benefit to offenses since the addition of the forward pass, but I could get behind that hiring.

Guy now has something to prove and his Offense has been very productive before..

Well, this makes perfect sense...
Because, if anything, Oakland is known lately for the production they get out of the quarterback position.
I see he put his stamp on Mark Sanchez as well.

Hahahahaha, good post.

just think of Chris Makepeace and Matt Dillon in My Bodyguard.
WSS
Wow. Had to go back a few years for that reference, huh?

It would be nice, though, just once, for us to stand up and break their freakin' nose.

Fuck evryone else... I stopped laughing once I heard Pettine in his Intro Presser...
I do like Pettine after his presser, but I liked a lot of coaches after their pressers too. I'm not one of these clowns that get on here and say I'm going to stop being a fan, woe is me yada yada. But the fact of the matter is a guy we really wanted to hire who had great potential just went to our rival who consistently win. And to top it all off the one making all this happen is a former great Cleveland Brown. It's a strong pill to swallow that's for sure.
The Ravens are not a big brother to the Browns. They are a Bastard Stepchild.
Anyone that claims otherwise can consider themselves an Arseling.

That was then, this is now. And to continue with the Saxon references, those teams are now going to be shite bags compared to the Browns.

I'm in favor of this..
Think back to the Redskins/Cleveland game from the 2012 season. RGIII got injured the week before our game. He had to totally adjust the offense for Cousins. We were looking good early and then they adjusted on the fly (when was the last time a Browns offense did that?) to roll him out and he picked us apart the rest of the game and we got killed.
When was the last time we had an offense that adjusted on the fly?

Shanahan is ok I suppose of the limited amounts of choices left. I would not give much a all for Cousins. Grossly over-hyped. To me hes worth nothing more than a 4th MAYBE a 3rd

Exactly. Cousins was drafted in the 4th round and hasn't shown he is better than a 4th rounder. I do like the guy but wouldn't offer more than 1 of our 4th rounders.

Sanchez? Sanchez? You realize Sanchez is All-Pro compared to super-stud (dud) Jamarcus Russell he had in Oakland? Well, maybe Jafattus was beyond help, sort of like Wee-done.

And I'm all for cousins coming to cleveland, my 2012 qb wish consisted of Wilson and Cousins.
