    I agree with you 100%, hating gays is like hating people of color and not acceptable.

    What I'm saying is that not wanting to be seen naked by a gay person is NOT the same as hating gay people. And everyone, including gays, straights, bisexuals, transgenders, blacks, whites, browns, greens and blues, christians, muslims, jews, atheists, agnostics, have the right to determine who does or does not see them naked.

    Most of us that have an issue with it are intelligent enough to understand he's not going to be a rapist with a raging locker room boner. That certainly doesn't mean that we should feel comfortable showering with him. The fact is he is someone who's basic sexual attraction is to the same sex he is showering with. While many would support that the same people would be horrified if it was mandated that high school and college locker rooms were going to become unisex. It is absolutely not different.

    If you think the way Vilma feels is in the minority I believe you are sadly mistaken. He is simply the only one that would commit media suicide by stating his feelings publicly.. I work with plenty of gay people that I would consider friends. I don't want to shower with them. Having this situation in the locker room is absolutely no different than if the cheerleaders were required to shower in the same room as well.

    The fact you don't go to the store and call "Gary the gay dude" a queer doesn't mean you want to get soaped up with him. I don't bash gays. I don't hate gays. I do recognize what they do personally is their choice. To insinuate that to function in modern society you have to accept homosexuality is absurd. I and others have just as much right to believe that it is wrong as people do to believe it is ok.

    Lastly why does he feel the need to publicly declare his sexuality. Is it from some delusional sense of his importance to the world? Should other players schedule press conferences to announce they are heterosexual? Maybe the heterosexual players should schedule press conferences to go into detail on the types of fetish they enjoy. Something like - Dear Media I would like to proudly say I am a heterosexual bondage afficionado partial to college cheerleaders with big tits , blonde hair and beautiful feet. Yes I also have a foot fetish. Ok that wraps it up thank you for your time.

  • If you don't think there already are and already have been plenty of homosexuals in the NFL, you're delusional. Whether or not they say it out loud doesn't change what they see in the locker room. It would be/will be/has been fine.
