Saw it on the news, Jim Donovan. Says Haslam interviewed Parcells, but Parcells wasn't
offered a contract...pretty sure he doesn't want to coach or fo anymore...
but it was said Parcells did give Haslam...some advice...
as in, maybe, "you need to dump those two idiot sumbeeches, and hire a
FOOTBALL GUY who PLAYED THE GAME for gm.
And, Ken Wisenhut says when he interviewed with Banner, he was offended
by the ...stupid?...questions he was being asked by Banner, who never played
the game.

yeah heard this earlier today in NY. (both were only 30 second blurbs......national sports media SUCKS).
banner had told wisenhunt that he wasn't impressed with some of the choices that he'd bring in at OC, DC, and other position coaches, and i don't know if this is true but someone had said wisenhunt had asked banner WTF does he know about putting a football coaching staff together when he had never played the game?
an earlier espn show spent the same amount of time calling haslam dysfunctional, meanwhile citing the fact that the fans all loved the firings of lombardi and banner and loved the promotion of farmer, but went on to say there might be trouble in the future because farmer didn't sit in on any of the meetings when hiring pettine and 'you know how GMs like their own guys" to which i call bullshit.
first the media won't mention the browns, but if it were the cowboys or the jets they would have spent all morning talking about them.

I get a feeling parcells talk with haslem may have been what led to fireing dumb and dumber! from what i read parcells wasnt offered any type job but gave haslem advice, My guess is the advice he gave him is youll never have a winner with dumb and dumber in charge mr haslem!

I agree, Parcells is already in the HOF he's old and fat and happy, probably doesn't have the energy for all that shit anymore.

Wisenhunt asked them why they didn't hire last year and Banner told him he didn't think he had assembled a championship assistant coaching staff. And Wisenhunt asked banner, what the fuck would you know about that?
For all the people glad that Lombard is gone, I am ten times more glad that Banner is gone.
We were fucked with him, and I'm glad Jimmy hadd the balls to rip the cord on this one.
