    Trent Richardson trade.

    I stand corrected.

Just don't ask me for a second example cause I don't have another arrow in that quiver lol.

  • I think the most important thing to remember about the drafts at this point is do no listen to or read into anything any team says. There will be plenty of intentional disinformation purposely circulated lol

Like shooting arrows with a rubber band

that's all there is to do in the off-season. do mock drafts and start naming guys you want on the browns.

the reason i had said playing into 'MY' hands is because i would much rather wait until next year and make a run at mariota (now per farmer) than pick anyone of these over-rated QBs in the top 5.

it's all a guessing game. at least i have more faith in farmer than i did with lombardass who would've traded the bank for manziel.

I think it was Banner wanting Manziel.

Lombardi seemed to like less mobile QB's

I also have more faith in Farmer then either/or Banbardi.

How nice is it to have a GM making the pics, other then a CEO/none player/puppet............making picks

  • Yeah, I mentioned this on the Farmer thread that he (Farmer) may push out some Draft picks until next year (gives some extra ammo).

Also for the Bull & Fox interview (link on other thread), Farmer stated the Draft board is going to be numbered from #1 best player through #x.

Position doesn't matter, he's looking at BPA period, which is really going to make this Draft interesting.

Been saying this for months... keep them rolling...

    I like this guy Farmer...

Only if you ignore what Trent cost us...

u have to remember Trent was the backup plan tho. Holmgren wanted RG3 to start with and it only woulda cost us TBitch, weeden and Mingo.

The jury's still out on RG3. I'd rather have pick #26 and mingo at this point.

When I read this I envisioned Holmgren sitting at a table chowing down Homer Simpson style and Heckert sticking his head in the room saying " so Richardon then?" and Holmgren waving him off without looking saying "Yeah Yeah Ok Richardson".

Exactly, for all we know Farmer wants people thinking that the Browns are willing to wait on picking a QB.

I'm really interested to see how this all plays out. If Bridgewater and Bortles are gone, I hope they do go with Watkins or Clowney.

  • I wonder if this means the Browns will wait until next year to pick a QB, because this combined with Farmer's statement about picking the best athlete sure make it seem like that would be the case.

There's only one thing wrong with that scenario. Well actually a couple. First- if Mariotta continues his high level of play he's going to be a top 5, or even a top 3 pick. Winston is consensus #1 overall in the 2015 draft. We have to assume some improvement from the Browns this year if they go with Hoyer @ qb, and draft Watkins or Clowney. The only way they get up to #2 in the 2015 draft is to sell off almost every pick they have this year to have the ammunition to move up that high without wrecking the team.

That's also a major concern of mine. I'm worried that the Browns will muddle around in the middle of the league for several years with QB play just good enough to keep a highly rated prospect out of reach.

The Team has a good opportunity with the #4 pick overall and needs to strike while the fires hot.

  • BPA. who knows what kind of draft board these guys will put together. but the fact that you got 2 defensive guys with the most input in the draft and the #1 guy saying he likes someone who won't declare until next year, does not bode well for taking a QB with our first pick.

get the vikes first pick next year and move down a spot (or wherever the fuck someone is biting).
