The last time Mary Kay got something right, Peyton Manning was still in college.

Way too early to speculate Peyton's future.

They must know more than Peyton himself.

FO type job highly doubtful, I could see him becoming a QB coach somewhere and then moving to a O coordinator position, or maybe joining one of the NFL pregame shows.

Manning is already set for life- why in the hell would he want 16 hour days in-season being an offensive coordinator? Now it is possible Manning may be interested in a FO job somewhere, but there's better landing spots than Cleveland. You can bet serious money that Elway will offer him (serious money) when he retires to hang around in Denver in some capacity.

Manning may want to do it to emulate Elway and run his own franchise. As for why Cleveland: Haslam and the Tennessee connections. They apparently have been friends and admirers since Peyton was at UT.

He already owns 50 Papa Johns in the Denver area. Sounds to me like he wants to be an exec and not a coach.

If Elway is in Denver..............No one else will have any power

There are fundamentally two kinds of people in life as it relates to work and neither is right or wrong. There are those who work to live (of which I am) and there are those who live to work. Some guys love the 16 hour days and the high pressure as much as I enjoy watching a football game or fishing at the river. I am a professional that can't wait to retire. Manning however strikes me as a professional who is a perfectionist that lives to work be it football or any other endeavor.

Smoke and mirrors. Plan A is Elway and Manning buy the Broncs. Winnin' SBs is also part of the plan. So much for that.

I would take Manning right now as our OC....right now. And i really don't understand anyone that wouldn't agree with that sentiment. Say what you will about his SB failures...the guy has been not just one of the best players in the league for the last decades, but also the best OC. He is his own OC...if he found a qb that could run an offense like his, and he brought him here....I'd have that in a hearbeat.
