There have been a few guys Ive wanted the Browns to draft in the 6th or 7th round purely so I could get a jersey with their name on it...like Bacardi Rambo haha

    How about Jared Abbrederis?

    6'1, 190

    Crisp routes, solid hands

This draft is deep with WR talent. I am sure the Browns can find someone later on that can fill the role.

That's where Gallon would go, probably the 7th.

Abbrederis on the other hand, will probably be a 3rd rounder but a WR Corps of Gordon, Watkins, Abbrederis would be incredible. I still like Benjamin though.

I am guessing he goes before the 7th

I think the combine is huge for Gallon. He isn't Travis Benjamin by any means, but if he runs too slow it could be bad. He is really good at getting open and has great hands though. We didn't really seem to have a super reliable slot WR last year so I think it is worth a late pick.

No, Janis would be better. He looks like a Wes Welker type....and he is not slow. Fastest 40 times in the 4.3s.

I like Benji a lot. He has flashes of being electric. I am afraid though he may be too fragile to count on in the NFL

If he was Wes Seller with 4.3 speed he wouldn't be a late round pick lol

Well that source I link had him with a low of 4.32, and average of 4.43. Still pretty fast. Plus, he is really more of a "go over the middle" guy.

I wonder if he is invited to the combine?

According to your other thread he was

I still vote Gallon. He has great hands and route running/wiggle

Yes. But I am not calling for us to take him in the 3rd or 4th or anything.

I am not someone on here screaming for Hyde in the 2nd lol

haha, well neither am I, though that may change after the combine. He looked pretty good the few times I saw him, even with crappy Gardner throwing him the ball.

If RBs were not so devalued now, Hyde in times of yore would be second round material....if not better. But this is a different age of man....the Age of Aquarius....where running backs and monotheists become less than what they used to be.

Hey Gip, your boy Janis is tied unofficially for the 100k with Cooks, and another guy at 4.3 flat. Gallon ran a 4.37 I think. A lot of speed in this years class boys. Abberderis ran a 4.44

  • MLD WoodyM MLD Woody wrote on last edited by

Yeah, Gallon ran a 4.42 too.

We will have to see how the official times shake out

If we don't look into a solid slot receiver in this draft something is wrong with us. Slot has become one of the most prolific, productive positions/roles in the NFL the last decade. We truely need a another beastly no.2 wide receiver to play outside opposite Gordon (gimme fuckin evans!) And a playmaker to go in the slot.
