While he looks a good player, I really can't see us going OT with that 4th pick at all. QB, sure, WR, ok, Clowney, fine. But OT I'd say is very unlikely.

Lewan ran a 4.85. 6'7", 309lb
Matt Patchan and Trai Turner also ran 4.84s
How about the Miami punter that benched 23 reps and ran a 4.62? Dude is a monster

I think people would go mental if they went OT with that pick. The guards are the issue on the o-line, right? They can get guards in this draft outside of the first.
-
Official times are in
Lewan was the fastest out of all the OL with 4.87
Robinson was a 4.92
-
Well no shit, we don't need a tackle that high, lol.
-
Yeah, I'd rather take Watkins or Evans. Evans measured up at 6'3" 231. Wouldn't be surprised to see him jump Watkins based on the combine.
-
Take a guard at 4? Seriously? I mean, I know Farmer was talking curveballs, but, really?
-
I wouldn't hate it. I'm thinking the rams might take him.
I'd prefer a different position, but if we can get another potential Joe Thomas I'd like it.

The 40 yard dash means absolutely nothing for offensive linemen.
I'm awesome, and I fuck dolphins. Ghoolie 12/2/2012: I have absolutely no skills, training or pride -
Lewan also had the 3rd highest broad jump in the last decade with 9'9''

Not true. The ten yard is what most people want to see, but overall speed is never a bad thing. The 40 yard dash means absolutely nothing for offensive linemen.

yes, really. Id say finding an impact guard who can move out to tackle (he may start at RT moving Schwartz inside) would improve this team more than any position outside of QB. This is assuming we dont add a G in FA of course.Take a guard at 4? Seriously? I mean, I know Farmer was talking curveballs, but, really?

No freaking way.
-
Well, if we need to win the inaugural 'OL 40yd dash event', then I guess these guys are our best bet.
-
Haha, well I dont think he had really dropped out of the first round. And its not just the 40, hes grading out great in most categories. And go ask Lane Johnson if a 40 time helped him.@mike-h said:
Combine performances rarely "put someone back into Top 15 consideration."
Especially 40-yard dash times for OL.
