And just what have you written that displays your astute foresight?@mike-h said:
You're right 23, I don't watch football. I concede, the homer is strong here. Haden is the best CB in the NFL, pay him Flacco money.
You know the difference between all pro and probowl right?
What makes your opinion more valid than the next? That you write for a fan rag that willing publishes fan writing? Your entitled to your opinion, for sure. Doesn't make it any more valid than the next. So stop being condescending, as youre privy to no more information than the next fan.

Haden needs to stay. Wtf is the debate about?

seriously?? c'mon Kosarfan! go ahead and rewatch those old reels of Bernie climbing the pocket for 10 yards with his 1.5 second wind-up as he hits a wide open Slaughter who proceeds to stop on the field undeterred and body catch the aforementioned hail mary and "skip-walks" into the end zone...not just untouched, but without another defender even entering the camera view aka tv screen. it was an ENTIRELY different game back then and even with my "1980's colored glasses" on I gotta speak up.
i proudly admit that Minni is one of my all time favorite Brownies...but thinking he could cover AJ Green or Megatron as well or better than Joe Haden does is flawed thinking. Frank (and Hanford for that matter) was at the top of the game...but the guys he was covering couldn't carry Josh Gordon's jockstrop.

fwiw i agree with Mike H. Joe had a down year which those of us honest with ourselves saw with our own eyes. we also saw the opposing QB's had no qualms about going his direction and did at will...which speaks volumes and reads: they found tendencies they could exploit...which elite nfl cb's fix about their game. so we'll see what Joe does next.
stats are what you make of them, but of the stats posted it sure looked to me like NONE had Joe in the top 15...let alone top ten. but, those are stats in a vacuum. non situational and black and white...but still based in reality and hold some merit.
my OPINION is the associated press vote all pros based on some amount of hype and charisma/likeability same as pro bowl voters do.
the biggest hole in Joe's game is his inconsistency. i'd venture to say he doesn't study every single matchup with the same vigor. he's the epitome of a true Brown --> he beats those he shouldn't and loses to those he should beat.
but when Joe plays at his best, he's absolutely physically comparable to the best in the league. by that i definitely mean top 3. that's his potential. his ceiling is miles higher than most of the league (all but a few--again, my hypothesy and opinion and remains to be seen on a consistent full season basis)
bottom line...i want Joe on the team. period. pay da man!

We have to keep: Mack, Haden, Gordon, Thomas, Cameron, Sheard, Taylor, Rubin Mingo and Greg "I caught it!" Little(just for you, Gipper
) at all costs. No lie though, I do love me some Greg Little. But, c'mon man- catch the ball!

Little has some incredible tools. He can be a killer...when he wants to be. A great blocker. A tough runner after the catch....but, yea, you gotta make that catch.

i agree Little does have some redeemability regarding his upside. if he can become a consistent pass catcher he very well could be unstoppable opposite a guy like Josh Gordon. the rest of his game is above average including his intangibles like toughness, tenacity, heart...emotionally fueled players can rise to the occasion in close slugfests when the game is on the line. i hope he ties it all together and turns it around leading to a very productive legacy with the Browns.
