My view from the UK...

The Browns Board
2 2 308
  • ..reading this board is a lot of Browns fans get very attached to average or worse players. Why is this?

I think bar Weeden every player lost has been met with someone, some few, being very angry about it. This team has not won more than five games since 2007 for crying out loud, the players here that have been lost are not that good!

I'm far from an expert and my NFL knowledge needs more work but I watched every Browns game last year and that's my two pennies worth.

    Desperation. Optimism. Hopefullness.

It is that loyalty factor at play. People are loyal to the team and players on the team.

I personally think Weeden has more innate talent than he has shown....but by not showing it he gets shown the door....so don't "bar" Weeden from that cadre either.
