I certainly hope so. He would be great to play opposite of Haden and fits the press-man scheme perfectly.

If the Browns can pull this off, this FA period will have gone nearly perfect,, imo. However, he may be just out of the price range for that #2 corner spot.

won't hurt to talk to him. But he turned down 54 million?

Sounds like we should draft one instead.

He should of taken that offer..so that may play into our favor.

I think it would be good to have another corner like that to play across from Hayden.

He's crazy for refusing that offer.

But at the same it's not uncommon to take less from a team you'd rather play for.

The team everyone wants to play for isn't usually Cleveland though.

He going to want- and probably get around $9 million a year. Joe Haden is going to need to be paid too.

There seems to be a regular question to if the dude even cares about playing. Sounds like he has no desire, yet still wants to get paid? No thanks.

I'd love to have him for a 3-Year, $27 Million that has a high amount guaranteed. Haden's deal will come and it won't affect the cap space too much. Right now he is eating up just a shade under $10 million per year. I'd expect him to sign a front-loaded 6 year, $60 million deal with around $30 guaranteed (the team has close to $70 million in space for 2015, with huge deals to Mack, Haden, and Cameron, the spendable money will still be around $45 million). The key is to get this deal done prior to Sherman's deal.

Maybe we can make it happen, but it looks like we are not the only ones.

He did turn down 54 million but it was only 5 million guaranteed. - Browns could do a 1 year 10 mil guaranteed type of deal.... a comparable multi year deal would be what v. Davis got from indy, that was 4 years 39m with 20m guaranteed...not sure the browns are going to be willing to spend that much money.

Well, how about do a Revis deal- essentially a one year guaranteed, with a back end non-guaranteed $15 million second year. We get a one year rent-a-player.

According to http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2014/03/cleveland_browns_have_reported.html, the Browns have about 40kk cap left.

                        Hey Haden, call Dominique!!!

it would make sense for both sides, also DRC was drafted by the Cardinals in 2008...captain of the defense...Dansby - pick up the phone!

Yes, but if I'm not mistaken that doesn't factor in the $10 mil Mack is going to get if he doesn't sign a deal so that would essentially be 28.

5 year 39 million. I would have been down with him for that.

with that list of DBs left in FA i'd seriously be looking at one of the top 3 CBs in the draft.

i'm still questioning whether or not mcfadden can make that next step.
