Who should we take with the second pick?

    This year it's all about the first pick. The first pick determines the second and with the greatest respect to all of the people on this board, none of us knows what that first pick will be or should be. That's why we love this time of year - coz there;s just nothing else going on but speculation and hope. I say get the fridge stocked and chill out til May 8th. #draftspeculationispointlessandalwayshasbeen

    hopefully the tavern here will be open so we can cheer with each other after the picks, unlike in the past when we all commiserated each other, especially during the TR weeden draft.

  • I wouldn't be mad if they decided to trade next years #1 with the 26 and move up into the 10-15 range to snag another top 5 talent, the time to strike is now.

    I wouldn't be mad if they decided to trade next years #1 with the 26 and move up into the 10-15 range to snag another top 5 talent, the time to strike is now.

    i guess that depends on if they draft their QB of the future this year. if they just draft some project guy in the third i think you'd have to consider them going all-in on hundley or mariota next year.

    now if they draft one of the top 4 QBs this year i could see them doing that. the top rated guys at 3 positions of need will be gone by our second pick.

    god i don't even want to speculate on next year's draft and what kind of talent that will be available. (is it better or worse, depending on the position?)

    i agree with your premise that why not grab the talent now when it's there staring you in the face.

    I would think the tavern will be open. I remember being happy with the Richardson pick until we found out he wasn't that good. Weeden...I was concerned with that choice.

    Hopefully a top 5 pick for next year is a ways away for us position wise next year... if that's the case it might cost too much to move up 2 get one and we might nto even need to.

    No idea how the rest of the draft next year looks like talent wise.

    The first pick is anyone's guess Johnny, Sammy, Mack who know but we have another first round pick. Do we take a back or a defensive back? Personally I don't care but I would love to see it be Carlos Hyde or darqueze dennard. What do you fellas think.

    Lets talk about who you think would be worth the #26 pick. Don't think about who we take at #4.

    While I don't think there is any way only 1 QB goes in the first round (regardless of how flawed they all may be) is love for the Browns to wind up with Mathews, Manziel, Lee. That's about perfect.

  • Dennard will be gone IMO.

    I wish it were guaranteed we could get Hyde with our 2nd rounder. I'd love to get that guard from UCLA with that 2nd first rounder.
