October squeelers game
-
I believe it is the 12th of October. If Stan reads this forum between visits to the casino and the whorehouse let me know if this is the game the guys are coming to town for. I just sent a text to aliz at the Eastland inn. I will try to book the 11th there for our annual Browns party. Anybody else looking to come in?

While I *might* be in the country around that time, it'd be for Mrs gft's 30th birthday holiday, so probably not going to be joining

I don't miss that game and I don't miss your show if I am in town.
I think the Brits usually try to make it when the team plays back to back home games. We do that Sept. 14 & 21st, Oct 26th & Nov 2nd, and again Dec 7th and 14th.
However it works out I'll make it up for 6 games this year. I am glad the last home game is against Cincy. I'll come up for that no matter what. The last few seasons my last scheduled trip was against some stinker team, which made it easy to just bail on the game and donate the tickets.

Chris, she might well enjoy a visit to the colonies. Mark I will try and rearrange my schedule with Liz and see if I can book September 20.

As of right now, it's looking like the September 21st game against the Rats for the annual trip. Plans are still in the works but that game is the leader in the clubhouse.

There is an issue on this board with using the term "The Rats" as a derogatory term. See the following photo for why:
THE RATS
Original members were Norton grads Steve Simmons aka Westside Steve, Bob Wallace, John Marsek, John Schumacher and Barberton's Bob Martin. Our forte - lots of Rolling Stones & Alice Cooper tunes. We idolized Cleveland bands like The Raspberries, Cyrus Erie and Target. Our first "paying" gig was for AU's infamous fraternity called The Lone Stars. We were paid $125 plus all the Boone's Farm we could drink! Here is a list of some of the other places the Rats played . . . . (Clubs) Fat Alberts, The Causeway, The Corral, Dealer's Choice, The Gateway, Kaiser Bill's, The Longhorn, Piccadilly Pub, Utopia Light & Power, (Colleges) U of A, Ashland, Dennison, Mount Union, OSU, (High Schools) Barberton, Norton, Brunswick, Cloverleaf, Copley, Garfield & Wadsworth. -

Yes, all signs point toward the 21st ... and that would be awesome!
