  • Yeah for most british people you have about four points on the US:

    New York - friends

    Florida - hot, women, spanish

Texas - rednecks, guns and BBQ

    LA/SF/SD - same place

Everything else falls in to the "there's really nothing there" category. If you're lucky, some people might mention Philly. Of course, you'll get alaska - "it's just the arctic, right?" and hawaii "volcanoes and grass skirts," but just talking mainland here.

  • Liverpool, The Beatles, Elvis Costello, black, Gerry and the Pacemakers.

Manchester Davy Jones the Dave Clark Five Herman's Hermits.

London The Rolling Stones, Newcastle the animals.

Shakespeare, Chaucer, Dickens, George Orwell, Aldous Huxley, Richard Burton, Sir Laurence Olivier, a Clockwork Orange, Robin Hood, James Bond,JRR Tolkien...

Watney Red Barrel, old Speckled Hen 55 degree beer...

Yorkshire pudding, Welsh rabbit, bangers and mash, beans for breakfast...

Bobby's with no guns and funny hats...

having a wank in the boot of the lorry...

Henry the 8th king Billy and the Queen...

Royal Guards dressed like a gin bottle.

Jeeves the butler Mr French and Manchester United...

    red buses and mailboxes...

  • Mr. French lol

Really? I have to imagine the Brits have some feelings about New England!

I enjoyed my trip to Old England. Hope to go again as an adult. All I can remember is the taxi-driver who looked like George R.R. Martin who drove us to Stonehenge, "Mind The Gap," and the Tower of London.
