Celebrity Draft

Hello? Hallie Berry anyone?
I agree with the previous poster Reznor was a horrible pick for #1 overall- you want to pick a musician, they had better be up there with the Beatles or Stones in the music pantheon for the "most famous ever" & Nine Inch Nails ain't it. You going to do music, give me Benjamin Orr from the Cars- (Lakewood, OH)
Halle Berry or Bob Hope are way more famous than Reznor. I think me & Z may have to hijack this one and do a little editing.

Leave it alone for now, Larry You will have another chance when Cleveland comes up again shortly. Make a pick for Philly and we will be closer to getting there.

Noboydy else wants to tune in to this? This shouldn't be that hard. The next city is Philadelphia. I will go ahead and make a choice:
The Philadelphia Eagles select: Bill Cosby, native son
Kansas City is on the clock.

I can KIND of see Bob (though he wasn't born in Ohio), but Newman was born and raised in Shaker Heights. He also went to college in Ohio, before serving in the Navy during World War 2.
Newman is a no-brainer.

Kansas City selects Don Cheadle.

I hate to break it to you guys but Reznor is currently the most popular (non-athlete) celebrity from Cleveland. If this draft was being held 10 years ago, Halle Berry would be 1a, no question about it, but her popularity has waned since then (she's still very deserving of 1b). Newman and Hope are dead. It's time to move on.

Ya, I don't think so. Newman, Hope and Berry have academy awards, stars on the walk of fame, and International generational star power.
I don't think the OP meant "currently popular with the under 40 crowd" it was biggest celebrity. Run a national contest with pictures of Newman, Hope, Berry and Reznor and see who gets the least name recognition.
Nine inch nails + a hit movie score = third round pick ... And not the first third rounder, the second one.

And you're taking people whose careers have already peaked or are dead with your first pick in the draft. We already did that with Weeden! Reznor's in the prime of his career, it's a good pick. The 3 you listed will be there at 1b, 2, and 3a.

It's all just a fun fantasy. I will pay more attention to Trent Reznor thanks to you.
But did you see the Halle Berry picture?

Oh yeah, she's still gorgeous, but I had to rock the boat with my pick. Plus, what's a draft without arguing over who's right and wrong? Debating whether or not I want to start watching her new show, Extant.

Cle
Tom Hanks
Dave Grohl
Michael symon
John Legend

Now I've lived out of the Cleveland area for awhile now so my opinion may be moot but wouldn't Drew Carey (sp) qualify for this list? I enjoyed both of his shows back in the day (I was an impressional (sp) tween/teenager at the time) and he launched quite a few careers as well. Plus he's the host of the Price is Right which is a pretty ballin gig. Hundreds of people excited out of their mind to be on stage with you (granted their winning stuff) and gorgeous girls walking around back stage who may be dumb enough to think they can further their careers by tickling your pickle. Plus we all know the Price is Right is a bone fide cure for all ills. I'd take that job for sure.
However, I've never heard of this Reznor fella, but I've never been into the hardcore death metal so y'all will have to forgive me.

For Cleve I would say 1a Paul Newman, 1b Halle Berry ... Bob Hope in the supplemental draft.
Trent Reznor is a third round pick at best.
