  • I have compiled the results of about 360 different mock drafts that various publications have put out (thanks to Walter Football), and here are the results of my compilation. This is the number of those mock drafts that selected the various players to be taken by the Browns:

    114 mocks have the Browns taking Sammy Watkins

    104 mocks have the Browns taking Johnny Manziel

    40 mocks have the Browns taking Blake Bortles

    37 mocks have the Browns taking Teddy Twatwater

    18 of the mocks have the Browns taking Derek Carr

    14 of the mocks have the Browns taking Greg Robinson

    14 of the mocks have the Browns taking Khalil Mack

    9 of the mocks have the Browns taking Jake Matthews

    7 of the mocks have the Browns taking Mike Evans

    4 of the mocks have the Browns taking Jadaveon Clowney

    1 mock has the Browns taking Taylor Lewan

    1 mock has the Browns takin Jimmy Garropolo

    1 mock has the Browns taking T. Jernigan.

    For what all that is worth......shits and giggles.

    I could probably do something similar for what these mocks have us taking at #26. But that would be a fairly time consuming effort. The source I looked at for our #4 had the first 5 picks laid out just for counting. Doing 26 would be harder because you would have to download each mock draft separately.

    Actually the total count was 364 mock drafts. None of which have any sort of "quality control" These just came from whatever bloggers out there put out a mock draft. So, yes, this did deal with who the Browns (and others) would take. So there was one or two rogues out there going for someone no one thinks should be taken at #4. Al Davis disciples I guess.

    Hey, it has happened with the Browns who took a guy name Chaun Thompson in the second round when he probably could have been gotten as a UDFA.
